My Friday!  Took tomorrow off.  GG ordered a ne refrigerator.  Has ripped the whole kitchen apart.  Repainting, replacing cabinets.  It has been brutal but can't wait to see the final results!

An interesting night. The wind was whipping pretty intensely after midnight blowing curtains straight out. Watching the news this morning, I learned it was a possible tornado that blew through around 10:00 p.m. about an hour north of me doing major damage to a mall / shopping center and some car dealerships. Thankfully, only about six people were hurt with minor injuries (bumps and bruises).

It's still pretty windy here but the sun is shining and it's a pretty nice day. Getting ready to head out to work soon.

Have a great day!

Yikes!

I have to wrap up unused dishware and get it stored. That is my plan tomorrow morning.

Warming up to upper 90s all weekend. Heat indexes in the 100s.

We could use some wind.

 Glad it wasn't worse.

How scary FS! Those things scare me more then earthquakes. Babysitting 3 of the boys today, is it wrong that I can’t wait till the end of the day to pour a glass of wine? For being country boys they are scared of bugs and one crying because of a spider. 🙄

One or both parents must react when they see bugs. I remember when the boys were babies, a friend of mine told me her son was deathly afraid of bugs (age 6 at the time) and she said she knew it was because of how she reacted around bugs.

So I have always been calm and cool around them and now the boys aren't afraid of them. They know not to touch them unless they are able to identify them and know they aren't harmful, but they don't scream and run from them either. They also know how to catch and release or catch and discard (in the toilet) if they find one in the house.

This could be a good teaching opportunity for you, Lindley!

DH is afraid of bugs. I'm the bug killer of the house. DS has one foot in afraid and one foot in whatever-land.

It wasn’t from me, I don’t like them, but neither has ever seen me react anything but the bug terminator. Gs has been going through a phase lately about being easily scared of something. I believe their big problem is the brothers both been stung by wasp and the littler one reacted to their fears. I chased the wasp away (a little healthy fear is good) and some different bug which I’ve never seen before had a stinger on his butt so we went back inside.

Going to have to hunt for wasp nest and kill them.

Watching The Golf!

Dang, it's windy in New York! It will be interesting to see how much below par they can go, at the US Open.

(I'd post the name of where they are playing, but our board has a dirty mind, and would probably star it out. )biggrin

Wait, maybe I can out smart the board. They are playing Shinnec0ck Hills GC., in Southhamptom, NY.

Caitlyn played with bugs.

Jesse was fine with them as long as they didnt take him by surprise.

Aaron doesn't care.

I made bug jars for them.

We always studied them.

I don't mind killing bugs.

Wayne hates spiders, so, I kill them, myself.

Now, Wayne will pick up a 6 foot snake, and think nothing of it!

I hate snakes!furious

I don't scream or yell...but I walk away, as fast as I can.wink

My wonderful outdoor kitty, who adopted
me 8 years ago, keeps all snakes and nasty
critters away. We've taken to giving her a
full can of wet cat food every morning, and
she patrols the grounds
