Sorry, Lily. Maybe you could take a
nap somewhere along the line?

Today is the Watermelon Jubilee in
the town where we have the Farm
Stand. So far, we know of at least
two other vendors who will be
selling melons. But we're the only
ones who have other veggies - like
tomatoes, and cantaloupes. Hope
we do well.

Yesterday was DH's birthday - he
says he's an old man now, since
he turned 78. I don't believe it!
Took him out to his favorite place -
he had a great rib eye steak, so
big that even he couldn't finish it.

How do you keep up with all that farming?

Lily, yep a nap is definitely in your near future.

Momala, I agree, how DO you keep up with it all? Sheesh! Happy Birthday to your dear hubbs! Glad he enjoyed that rib eye. Tell him he's not old at all. Tell him 78 is the new 58! ;o)

It's an absolutely beautiful start to the day here. Perfectly clear, no haze, no humidity and lots and lots of sunshine! DGD had her theater fundraiser gala last night. It was fun. But the gala itself left alot to be desired. The skits from the plays were awesome but the rest of the event sucked big time. DGD wasn't in charge of any of it; just performing her part.

Hope everyone has a great day!

4 year old logic:

Premises: I want to go to the Hot Wheels event. I have been told to eat so I can go. I have been told how long I have before it's time to go.

Conclusion: I will sit and lick my food and occasionally take a tiny nibble.

Around 2:00 this afternoon, I decided to go do some flower shopping. Didn't find anything good at this point but that's okay since the hanging pots I ordered online haven't arrived yet. But, on my way down the two-lane back road to the one nursery I like, I was driving the limit and saw, much to my surprise, a bear crossing the road not far in front of me. He looked to be about two or three years old, a good size. I slowed down to give him a chance to cross and watched as he scurried up the side of the mountain. Way cool! I know there are lots of bear around here in the mountains but we don't often see them so close to civilization.

That is really cool!  Haven't seen a bear yet but I know we have them.  But also have a lot of woods with ponds so no need for them to come out to civilization.

Momala, Congratulations to your DH on his birthday. He is just about one year younger than I am. And I know that finishing a rib eye steak is not as easy as it once was. LOL Hope he continues in good health and spirits.

a little after 7 and I want to put my PJs on. Been a productive day and stayed up late last night with friends. Sigh, age.

Good evening! Been a busy day, had a pedicure, went to pick up some samples for a back splash in my kitchen, had dinner with son and his family.
