It's a beautiful start to the day here! Rained most of the day yesterday so the air is cool and clear. Had to work until midnight last night. Not sure why the store is open that late. I had less than ten customers from 9 o'clock on. What a waste of resources.
IKWTDS, congratulations on the new phone! I pictured Steve Martin running around yelling, "the new phone books are hear, the new phone books are here!".
Our generator is in! The inspector comes later today so I'm working from home. I'm surprised how quiet the generator is. I mean, it's loud, but not as loud as a lawnmower.
The Constable was kindness personified.
He explained all the ins and outs of putting
their things at the curb. We're not supposed
to touch them for 24 hours, but if someone
comes along and takes something, I can't
stop them. There is a blender that my next
door neighbor (who lost everything in a fire)
could use, and two small carpets I could use
on the front porch. Other than that, they
just left a bunch of crap - all of it broken or
dirty. There are roaches all over the place.
It will take at least 4 roach bombs to get
rid of them. The carpet is torn in multiple
places, holes in the wall where he put his
fist through it, the linoleum is torn up in
several areas, the wood at the bottom of
the kitchen island is in tatters, every one
of the window blinds needs to be replaced,
and they even took all the smoke detectors.
At least they are gone! If they ever try to
come back on the property, I can call the
Sheriff and have them arrested for
trespassing.
I'm exhausted. It's in the high 90's at the
moment, and I'm soaked. I'm off to take
a shower, and rest for a while.
Booked our room! We are going to Myrtle Beach instead of Savannah.
Can't wait!

Momala! Great news. But do not take their carpets. First it will bring roached to your house and second if they see those carpets on your porch they will try to get revenge. Happy for you they are gone.
