Morning all. Woke up realizing I used the last of the creamer yesterday. Then, when I got to work I ran into a nurse named Lola. So now I'm walking around cranky and singing Copa Cabana over and over in my head.

That's not the Lola song in my head. Lola, l-o-l-a Lola. She came up to me and asked me to dance...

Not a good day here.

Belle is back in the shop. Still running hot.

And, Jazz escaped the backyard. She's been missing for 3 days.

I feel like crying.cry

I hope Jazz comes back, FWM.

Can't believe today marks the end of DS' first week in preschool. He had his first sub on Wednesday. Got a glowing report. Sub said he was very helpful in the classroom and helped the other kids with their math. I'm glad he's settling in to this school. The school he's in uses an advanced curriculum, essentially one year ahead of public school, and it would be hard to switch him if he didn't like it since he'd be getting the same material a second time. The math the preschool uses is a modified Kindergarten curriculum, for example.

Jazz is one of our black cats. Jack Daniels is her brother.

This is depressing.

Hold a good thought, please.

Lots of fog this morning.

Just doing stuff around the house.

Been trying to find things to do in myrtle beach that are kid free.

So far, nothing comes up that isn't either couple oriented or involves strippers.

Her name was Lola, she was a showgirl
With yellow feathers in her hair and a dress cut down to there
She would merengue and do the cha-cha
And while she tried to be a star
Tony always tended bar
Across the crowded floor, they worked from eight til four
They were young and they had each other
Who could ask for more?
At the copa (co) Copacabana (Copacabana)
The hottest spot north of Havana (here)
At the copa (co) Copacabana
Music and passion were always the fashion
At the copa they fell in love
Copa, Copacabana
His name was Rico
He wore a diamond
He was escorted to his chair, he saw Lola dancing there
And when she finished, he called her over
But Rico went a bit to far
Tony sailed across the bar
And then the punches flew and chairs were smashed in two
There was

Does she have a litter box?  If so - put it outside in the yard.  We did that when our Bella was missing two days and she was back within 2 hours.

MB is really changing. There's a lot more crime and rowdy visitors. I've been reading some threads on FB about MB, lot of unhappy visitors.

 We've been going for years.

North Myrtle is not the party area like Myrtle beach is.

And the timing of your visit is important.

It isn't really any more dangerous than any other tourist area.

We stay in NMB, a smaller resort that is part of a vacation club.

And we visit the typical tourist traps.

Honestly, other than the occasional drunk, we've never had a problem.

LL ~
You are exactly right about the litter
box. Cats can smell their box from
over a mile away.

FWM ~
Put out water - lots and lots of water -
but NO food. You don't want other
critters coming in and eating her food.
Even if you have changed her litter,
she should still smell Jack Daniels,
and recognize the scent.

Sending hugs and good thoughts
your way.

Let us know when Jazz gets back. It is so frustrating when they decide to take a little trip and do not notify anyone. We have a black "outside" cat here who disappears about once every two months for 3 days. Cannot imagine where the heck he goes, but he always comes back - really hungry.

Thanks for the good thoughts, Good Geeks.

The litter box has been outside for two days, today will be the third.

Still, no sign of Jazz.

I'm hoping the third day will be the charm.

Fingers crossed.
