Good morning! Well, good LATE morning, lol.

Cool (52), rainy and a bit of thunder around yet this morning. Beautiful early fall weather. Hate to think of winter already, but we have had a very wet, foggy, cool summer and the squirrels are taking all the walnuts before they hit the ground. Just like last year, sigh.

What are the plans for your day?

Heat wave started today. Working from home. DD's first day of 8th grade. Tonight there is a meeting at the school for the 8th grade field trip, they go to DC for a week in the spring.

I am so glad I am working from home. There was a car fire at 6 this morning right before the office highway exit. two lanes closed, backed up the traffic for about 10 miles. Sometimes we are lucky enough to dodge those bullets.

Wow, you really did dodge a bullet this morning. Sounds like your day will be busy enough as it is! Your DD will have so much fun on that field trip! Now to pay for it, lol.

HAHAHAHA! This year the boys' classes take a "team building" fieldtrip, usually to a rope/zipline place. I am so disappointed they aren't allowing chaperones. I want to zipline!

Just did a cook out with DD and 3 of her friends. We called it the First Day of School cookout. Ended it with cheese cake. So much fun. But reality is looming. We all need to go to bed soon but first clean and such. Just holding on to the grilling memory.
