Who is going to see it in the theaters? I'm really excited to see how Gaga does.

I'm hoping to go see it in the theatre when it comes around here. I've heard good things about it. I'm not a gaga fan but am looking forward to seeing it.

I am so out of touch. Hadn't heard about it. Would love to see it though.

I haven't heard anything either, I think Gagas a good singer though. Not a movie but there is a new magnum P.I. coming out.

I might watch this one. I never saw the original - I can't stand Barbara Streisand.

I saw it and it was good.  I think Gaga will blow it away.

The original "A Star is Born" was done in 1937 and starred Janet Gaynor and Frederick March. There have been two remakes since then, one in 1954 with Judy Garland and James Mason; the second in 1976 with Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson.

I didn't know that!  I think I want to watch those earlier ones as well.  Thanks

You're welcome! The best one, imo, is the one with Judy Garland and James Mason.

Because I love Gaga I will probably go. But, not a fan of remakes in general.

I would like to see it. I like Gaga after seeing her perform the half time show.

it's a great old story--Streisand, whether she can act or not, has the most perfect voice ever heard

I saw a star is born staring Barbera Streisand in high school. It was a first date and he picked it out. I think he was getting pointers from his mom because the rest of the movies we went together was Monty python.

That's cute, Lindley.

When I was pregnant DH took me to see the Sex and the City movie. He was the only man in the theater. That was true love. LOL

We rarely go to movies. I really hate remakes. I would like to see something original and seems all Hollywood does is make remake after remake most of which aren't very good.
