My town surprised me and 60% of voters voted red down the party line. It was good to see but the rest of the state sent Kuster back to the house and we now have a Dem State house, but did retain our Rep Governor.

I got some unexpected good news. I got called in by the HR director to inform me that they have decided to make me the general office manager. This is a big step for me. I am now responsible for the workings of the office and the admin assistant/receptionist reports to me. Instead of being non-exempt clerical staff, I am now management level. Overall, I was doing most of this already, but now I have the official title, authority, and pay.

A box arrived from QVC. They were lanterns that light up for the windows, I had ordered them. They are up. Butttttttttt. There was a clank, clank in the boxes? Well, it was shards of glass??? Soo the pieces all got in my foot, the bottom. Ouch. GG has to take a tweezers to get them out.
GG called QVC and blasted them. They called him back 4 times! I think they were nervous about a lawsuit.

Disaster averted! I did the 5 year warrantee. Not going through losing the ice make ever again. It was cheap.
It must be refrigerator fritz week, the defrost timer went out on ours this week. New timer ordered, they will fix it tomorrow. In the mean time, we beat the frig frequently..
