Morning, all. The sun is shining here. Looks marvelous! Still cold but...
The property manager never returned my call. The smell is all but gone. A faint odor occasionally. The FD wasn't sure what it could be but they were going to investigate other units to see if it affected them as well. I've not followed through or heard back. Perhaps their investigating was enough to stop whoever it is from doing it further. We shall see.
I have to work the afternoon shift until early evening. Yesterday was a problem as one of my co-workers came in with a very heavy horrible smelling perfume on and was station right behind me. Every time the doors opened, the wind would push her smell towards me. I couldn't bear it. It was migraine city immediately. My eyes were even tearing up. I had to cover my nose to make it through the day. I spoke with the manager about it. He said he would speak with her since others complained as well as customers. If she didn't stop, he'd make sure I was moved away from her or her stationed farther away. I hate being allergic to things like this. The last thing I want to do is prevent someone from wearing a fragrance they like. But, it's almost like she bathes in it. It literally fills the whole store.
Anyway, I'm off to work. Hope everyone has a fabulous day!
Back in high school those were the two that everyone seemed to bathe in.
I couldn't stand either.
We got ice ice baby!
Schools cancelled, but the sun is finally out, and it is melting quickly.
Taking mom to another appointment in a bit.
Happy Tuesday.

It's GOOD to be back home! I've been at grandma's since last Sunday because my dad and uncle went to Philly for the Army-Navy game. They sat 5 rows behind Trump. So I was at grandma's since neither she nor my mom drive. DS is done with AWANA until after the new year. Next week is his last swim lesson until after the new year since the swim school is closed starting Christmas Eve through the new year.
Got everything - I think - for DS' party. Have to make the stuff now. Did not get white balloons yet. Those need to be inflated with helium so have to wait until the day of to get them then have to draw Boo faces on them. Will get the stuff for the cupcakes on Friday or Saturday then make them and decorate them on Saturday. Could not find brown balloons for the goombas so I'm doing dark red balloons and brown tissue paper. Preschoolers won't care and my give-a-care officially broke on that particular aspect. I also decided to make bob-ombs and easily found all the supplies for those. I'll get the goombas and bob-ombs done during the week.
I sat in the car while mom was in the wellness center, it got up to 82 in that car.
I had the window cracked a bit for fresh air.
It was all I could do to stay awake!
Chef, the party sounds like it's going to be fun.

Do you have a Party City near you? They have balloons of every color as well as small (or large) helium tanks you can purchase which might be cheaper than buying them already blown up.

We do. They blow up the balloons for free. I think the pack of balloons is $3. Planning on stopping by en route to the venue and getting the balloons. I only need a half hour or so to draw the Boo faces so not worried about having them in advance.
I'm terrified at drawing on blown up balloons. Especially when they are filled by someone else and so thin! Would it be safer to draw the face before they go up? Of course, you get a really distorted bloated face.
Anyways....
I got headhunted today! It feels really good, but also pretty scary.

I will answer for Chef, drawing done with sharpies so no popping hazard!
YAY for headhunters!

Just returned from DD's Holiday Chorus Concert. Fantastic show this year. What a difference in talent from 6th grade to 8th. Plus the teachers finally listened to the parents about out complaints about a 3 hour show on a school/work night and stopped the nonsense speeches in between songs.

Have you had one pop in your face while drawing on it?
I have a light touch so have never had pop in my face but I have seen it happen.

Isn't that crazy?
The really long shows, and then they expect the kids to bring their A game to school the next day.

And the parents would roll their eyes at all the accolades, over the top accolades after every song. Not that the teachers don't deserve the accolades, but please once is enough. Plus parents with kids in the early part of the show would leave due to the length of the rest of the show. FINALLY done right.

I have been through so many renovations. I learned to grin and bear it knowing on the flip side it will be well worth it. My master bath reno will start in about 7 weeks, I have two closets to clear out and another one to ad shelving too. Soo many clothes and soo many shoes to get rid of. And must move myself into the spare bedroom. It will be worth it though.

Czech, I totally know how you feel🌹 we just got done painting and will be getting wood floorin, new carpetin, tile, and a kitchen backsplash right after the new yea. It is a pain to have your house in disara, especially during the holiday. Just focus how much your going to love it when it is finishe.
IKWTDS, get a move on!! Oh, and glad they shortened up the program! Wow, 3 hours is way to long.
Lindley, good luck with your upcoming remodel!
Lily, they cleaned up the stink before they left. They actually did a good job of putting the house back together enough so we could feel at home again.
