Hallelujah it's Friday! Been a very rough week. I have company coming tomorrow so I took next week off. It couldn't have come at a better time. I really need the break. I took call Sunday before I knew about my visitor so I just need to get through that. Stay warm friends!

Snow day today! Well, for the boys. I have to telework. my morning entertainment was watching the dry cleaners try to get up the neighbor's driveway. I watched him back down it to pick up their cleaning, and didn't think that was a very good decision. It took him a good 45 minutes to get out, all the while doing some damage to their front lawn and landing his van on their front walk.
52, with a real feel of 58. So I'm going to be outside at some point.

No ice, just about an inch of snow. Due to the cold temps, everything that fell, stuck. And since we are in a hilly area, driveways are very steep. So they're slick.

Yes, everyone is still a bit bad. I'm going to boil the ones now and replace them next week when everyone is better.
We use the electric tooth brushes but get new manual toothbrushes every cleaning. I have lots and we change them out whenever we have sickness. I think it helps. But also being only a 2 person household helps too.

I keep a stockpile of toothbrushes, someone starts to get sick, you get a new toothbrush. When your better, new toothbrush.
Thankfully none of us have been sick so far this winter.
We've been super vigilant about cleaning and handwashing since mom's heart attack and stroke. She was extremely weak for so long, and we were warned if she got sick, it could turn into sepsis. So, we thank God every day no one has been sick.

Just found out that the dinner I am
supposed to prepare on the 12th
will be 35 instead of 20! Yikes!
I was prepared for shrimp creole,
green beans, rice, garlic bread salad,
and dessert. Goodness ! I've been
stocking up on frozen shrimps when
they were on sale, but I don't think
they will be on sale again before the
dinner.
Here's a hint! If you have to make
shrimp go farther, cut them in half
lengthwise before you cook them.
They will curl up like regular whole
shrimps, and your guests will think
they are getting a lot more than you
are actually giving them.
I'll try to purchase the rest of the
meal in a couple of shopping trips,
so my budget doesn't think I'm
going off the deep end.
