The doctor told me yesterday I could gain 25 lbs. GG took it to heart. There was enough chili for 3 people. I asked the doctor if he plans to supply my new wardrobe. We laughed away.
Wow, great day everyone! I'm beginning week 2 of a new vegetable-heavy sugar cleanse and have lost 5lbs. Mostly water weight, but apparently kicking the sugar also kicks the metabolism. We'll see. After 2 weeks adding good low-sugar carbs and fruit back into the diet builds on that work. Shall see. Miss apples and wraps at the moment. And I hate salad, so this is getting a little old. I've learned to get creative with eggs though!
Good afternoon ! Happy for you Ikwtd, enjoy the chili and cookies trudy, hope you get rest sb, hello fnw, sunshine, and lily, congratulations on your goals to a healthy habits tig.
Snowing like crazy here, warm, sunny and in the 50s yesterday and very pleasant last night to snow, ice and 20 degrees here today. Already have accidents because of how slick the roads are.
Just got back from the Mall. I took DD and two friends. It was DD's bday shopping day. I don't pick out gifts for her, I sit in the Mall as she and friends pick out clothes and such for her and then go and pay for them items. She did great money wise, she bought bra's (which I do not include as a gift) So will get her a gift card or put money into her savings account. She picked some great tops, mindful of her ever growing boobs. I really like her style.
Even though she thinks she has received all her gifts due to the shopping trip she will still get the GC/money I mentioned plus I found a great milk box made out of wood at Michael's that is perfect for her albums she has been collecting. I think I have done good.

I so wish I hadn't lived with my dad during my tender years. His idea of bra shopping was to make me try them on over my shirt, right out there in the aisle! Nice dad, thanks.

Or was it a bad five minutes that you milked all day?
That sucks Lindley you'd think your mom would know better
I would never do the over shirt thing to DD nor would I demand to be in the fitting room. I do love how she has good taste in bras. Even told the salesperson she doesn't need a push up cup. Yeah at 13 no one needs a push up bra. A bit impressed with my daughter.

I was flat as a pancake and my mother insisted I get a bra. She would even check to make sure I was wearing it before I went to school. THAT was humiliating.
I was stopped in the front doors of elementary school by a 4th grade teacher who informed me in front of everyone that I needed a bra. I was in 3rd grade.
Caitlyn was around 4 when she just had to have those little bra and panty sets. So it was never really an issue with her.

I used to wear two pieces all the time. I didn't start wearing one pieces until I was in my 20's actually. I'm not sure what else I was supposed to wear.
Never liked the two piece suits, I always felt like they would come off when I was swimming.

I started wearing bikinis at 13 till I had my son, then it was one pieces.
In my teens I used to sew all my clothes. Made I beautiful brown/ cocoa bikini. Apparently I was not good at the elastic thing since the first time I dived into the ocean I lost it. Grrr, but is was pretty.
