For the first time since we've been married, we are getting a tax refund!  Our estimated quarterly taxes were higher than our actual taxes, so we're getting a few hundred dollars back!  Thank you, President Trump!!!!!!!  MAGA!

So now all I have is one pissed off husband

I don't make enough to file.

Now, my disability is taxed, at least that's what the documents say.

But I haven't needed to file since I started receiving disability.

Oh he's going to fight it. Just not looking forward to it obviously. The thing that is the worst is now the IRS is looking closely at him, wondering why he tried to double dip as it were with SS's social security number

 Just sent the IRS the Parenting Plan that should outline the legal stuff.

 

Then he should send an email to the ex letting her know this was not her year to claim the kid. And wait for the response.

We got a little refund. Under $500.

I would have been mad, had it been more. I hate lending our money to the government, with no interest.furious

I got a much bigger refund than anticipated and qualified for breaks that I didn't know existed. I'm happy because getting the refund allowed me to pay off a bill that I've been plugging away on. lol I'll modify my W4 for this year now.

It looks like we have a Capital Gains Exception for some small business, and some other sole proprietorship exceptions. 19% for my structure.

 You don't need to pay a tax paperer going forward. New tax law is simple.

 Our tax return is crazy difficult. I literally send them over 100 pages of documentation. Plus, we have income from several states, so that makes if harder. I would rather pay someone to do that...
