I'm really excited! Both Greg and his sister Kim are running in Boston today! (My nephew and niece. Some of you might remember that Greg ran it last year.)smile

Greg is in the first wave, bib 3663.

Kim is in the third wave, bib 16407.

Fingers crossed that they have a good run!

Have a great day, everyone!

At least the storm pulled away before the start. Good luck to them!

Jared and Gen Padalecki are running in the marathon.

It's a chilly 48 right now.

Happy Monday.

Thank you, my pretties!

Greg just finished a couple minutes ago. He ran it in 2:50:58.

Last year he ran it in 2:56:54. He was faster by almost 6 minutes this year! biggrin

Kim is still on the course. Over halfway through. I'll let you know how she does. (This is her first time running in Boston.)

Online tracking in live time is the bomb!wink

Kim finished in 3:35:34!

I'm proud of both of them.smile

FWM, what fun for you! I have never known anyone who ran in the Boston Marathon, so I'm glad you do know someone or two! You as well, LL!

Our whole family enjoyed a wonderful weekend away. Lots of friends, food and good times enjoyed by all. It was so good to finally get a break away from our area. Sigh, it was over too soon.

Watching the news and so saddened by the loss of Notre Dame Cathedral. :(

Watching the news, as well.

Sounds like great times to me, FWM.

Cleaned house. Again.

Dinner is started, ham steaks, boiled cabbage, carrots, and some mashed potatoes.

For some reason, three birds, 1 of our hummingbirds, have hit the front window today.

Thanks Czech! It was fun following their progress and stats online, in real time. Not as good as being there, to cheer them on, but...we do the best we can.wink

I'm so glad you had a fun weekend! After all the misery you have been/are going through, no one deserved to have fun, more than you!smile

The loss of Notre Dame Cathedral has put a damper on my day. It started so well. And now, I'm bummed.cry

That's life, I reckon.

I agree, FWM. The day started out great and then received a dampening blow. Life does go on though. We have life, family and friends and that is the most important part of any given day. smile

Those were great times FWM.
My bro has run it and my SIL. Took SIL about four hours each time. Bro not so long. But I agree with SB just doing it is a great accomplishment.

My mom started doing marathons in her 40's. My dad eventually joined her. Together they did them all over the country until my mom got sick in her early 60's. I have so much respect for those who train for these races. It's so much hard work.

This is a picture of Greg and Kim, posing with their bibs yesterday. (I think it's nice to be able to put a face, to the names.)smile

Greg is 27, Kim is 25. They are very nice young people. I'm so happy they are part of our family.

SB, it's awesome that your parents got into it, and enjoyed running together.  Good for them!

IKWTDS, good for your brother and sister-in-law. It really is an accomplishment, to run in Boston!

I wonder how LL's friend did? I hope she had a good run.
