For our regular Eastern Star dinner before our meeting, I made shrimp creole over white rice, asparagus hollandaise, garden salad, rolls & butter, and carrot cake and cherry cobbler (desserts made by another OES sister)
I used my Uncle Frank's recipe for the creole. It got rave reviews.
Because there haven't been any additions to the recipe section in a long time, I'm going to post it there.
My feet and legs are screaming at me right now - I'm going to find the Epsom salts and give them a good soak.
Sounds delicious but an awfully lot of work for a person limping around!! Hope they all enjoyed and appreciated.
Still get daily bandage changes on my shin; looks really good now, color is almost gone, wound almost closed. I even get a day off tomorrow. Ho ho Next visit on Thursday.
For weather, a beautiful day here and I really should get down to the nursery for some seedlings and flowers. But.... getting a little bit lazy in my old age.

5 more weeks of preschool after this week and I'll have kindergartner! This school year flew by! Seems like just yesterday he was off to his first day of school. He's super excited for kindergarten already. I love that he's a little nerd just like me. His school does uniforms - thank God - so no more wondering about whether something is school-approved or not.

I was so annoyed with the co workers who suddenly wanted to be my best friend prior to my wedding. Annoyed enough not to care if they were pissed about not getting an invite.

Vegas! Room is booked! Reservations are made! Tickets are purchased!
We went 3 years ago and are going back to see stuff we didn't see plus visiting more of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants. After this trip, we'll only have GR Steak to visit. He's slated to be in Vegas the weekend before our trip so we're hoping he sticks around. Even if I only get a pic from afar, I'd love to see him in person. There's a few pics on Yelp of him with customers so if he's there, we may just get lucky and get a pic.
DH has a ticket to see Rich Little. He's super excited. He showed me a YouTube video of him and I wasn't amused so he's seeing that show on his own. I'll amuse myself while he's in the show.

He'll be at grandma's. It's his second to last week of preschool. Preschool graduation on the 21st, last day is the 24th. Kinder Sneak Peek is tonight. He's super excited about learning more about next year. Nerd ... just like me ;)
He'll get to visit virtually though. I told him about the arcades at Excalibur and Circus Circus and how they have games like the carnival does so if he wants to send money with us, we'll video chat him from the arcade and he can pick out a game for us to play for him and we'll bring him back whatever we win. He liked that idea.
