We had a nice weekend. Played outside with Cate so much, I barely had time to get on the computer.

I got my morning walk in. I trip to Home Depot is next on my list. I need more mulch for the garden and I need a new light for my dryer.

I will probably putter in the garden until it gets too hot.

Heading for a high of 86 today.

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

I went and walked a mile at our park, fwm, you had inspired me and hopefully this will be a new habit for me. I use to walk two to three miles a day and somehow life happened and it just got easier to find a excuse

Good for you, Lindley! I had been a couch potato all winter. Quit walking at the duck pond in December, when it got cold. Started back up again mid-March, when the weather warmed up a bit. I'm going to try not to be such a wimp, from now on. I won't walk in pouring rain, or if we have ice. But I'm going to do it on dry days.smile

It really is helping my hip and back. I'm less stiff and sore when I get regular exercise.

I've also found that I'm better off to get a walk in within 30 or 45 minutes of getting up in the morning. If I get distracted by chores or the computer, it's to easy to just say the heck with it, I'll just skip today.

I'm happy to know I inspired you! Keep me posted on your progress, please.smile

I will, after the boys go home I hurt all over and I’m sure majority of it is that I’m out of shape. I was only able to go a mile today, but hopefully I’m going to push for a mile in a half tomorrow and by Wednesday or Thursday two miles.

Lindley, learn from my mistake. When I started walking again in March, I went in, guns blazing. And ended up nursing shin splints. Stick with a mile for the first week. Next week, add a half mile. The week after that, add another half mile. Continue until you're where you want to be.

I'm not trying to be a bossy Geek. I just want you to avoid the suffering that I brought on myself.wink

Yeehaw! Sounds like a good plan to me! With any luck, you won't end up at the store buying Icy Hot, like some people I know!biggrin

Been a rough day. DDs great grandad passed away today. He was a 103 year old WWII veteran.
Also today I found out my brother may have stage 4 prostate cancer. We have to wait for more test results.
I'm just spent emotionally.

Sorry SB, tough day for you for sure.

Speaking of walks, I took Sonny out for a long walk after a grueling day of work. First time was able to do the long walk thing during a work day in about 4 weeks. He was all happy. And so was I.

Making dinner now. Man I would love to get my jammies on and go to bed.

I've done something I'm not sure I could do again.

I have a diet app on my phone, I entered my food for today, and I hit my goal calorie intake exactly.

Not over, not under, exact.

Yes. That makes my day.

Thank you, I love the moon and the picture reminds me of the beaches of California and Hawaii. the Last avatar reminds me of the view of the blue ridge mountains from our cabin in North Carolin.

FNW, hope the applications are approved. I do not know much about the system. Is there some kind of quota? Or just a definite number of slots with the approval being based on previous grades, etc? Stupid question, maybe, but do you have to be Catholic for your kids to be in a Catholic school?

I am not sure what the criteria is for admittance, other than they give it to parishioners children first. The list goes down from there...we are fifth in that we are Catholic in a parish that does not have a school. It didn't sound like they had "slots" because they said if there's 24 kids in a class they put two teachers in any more they break it up into two classes. They do keep classes small but I'm not sure if they keep the school small, if that makes sense. They allow non-Catholics in as well and they go to Mass but they don't take communion. They will make a decision after they receive all the paperwork and we are waiting on the current school to send over teacher referrals and the records. #1's teacher said they were given until Friday of this week to turn everything in. DH & I are checking out some other schools as a back up in the meantime. I have an appt. later this morning.
