Planning a get together tomorrow night in honor of my nephew before he goes to Washington state this weekend. Not sure when we will see him again.

Drive safely! Watch for those big black clouds over your left shoulder and if you see one, don't stop for anything except oil. That was the advice my grandfather gave me before I drove across the country. He told me stories of when he had to set candles on his dashboard to defrost his windshield back in his day. I miss him.
Y'all pray for G this week. He flew to Pittsburgh this morning to move his step mother here. He has 2 days to load the truck to come here and get all the ret of the stuff she's not bringing junked...in addition to closing on the house, driving 1/2 day Thursday, 1/2 day Friday, and having to play Friday night. He's going to be absolutely WORN OUT. And she's not making it easy. What she wants to bring will not, by any stretch, fir in the apartment we have for her. So he's going to have to weed out the extra. He was supposed to drive the truck back, she was going to drive her car. Well last night, she decided that she doesn't want to drive and that he just needs to pull the car behind the truck. It's not that simple, hon. Now he has to rent a bigger truck and a car trailer. It has turned into a nightmare...

O4 does he have help? We had some guys haul the remaining items away so they loaded their truck and just took it all. Charities will come take clothing and household items but it usually has to be arranged weeks in advance. I certainly wish him luck.

He has a couple of guys. She said she was going to have guys from the church help, but evidently, unbeknown to us, she asked too late and they are unavailable. Plus,he called about an hour ago, and she is NO WHERE NEAR ready for the truck in the morning. Lemme get some picts...UGH...I am just crying for him!

Just wow. He can't get that cleared out in one day. That is weeks worth of crap. Perhaps he should make some phone calls to area churches and charities. This is a hoarding situation. I feel so badly for him.

He's working through the night to try to make things better. She says she is bringing her 8 seater DR table and chairs, buffet, and China cabinet. He asked her where she was going to put them. She said "in the dining room". Um, we've told you over and over that you do not have a dining room....
Not only that, she "packed" 75% of her stuff in plastic bags, writing "Fragile" on them...he's going to have to box everything up...

 He's talking to the realtor. It's too late to reschedule the truck and dumpsters. He's reaching out to everyone he knows, but they are all his age, and can't do a lot. He's called some movers and they are booked for the next few weeks. This is prime moving season...ugh...I'mma call you...
