Guess what is being built just on the other side of the park from us? A new middle school. They are working day and night on it.
It's actually lovely outside, in the shade.
A good stiff wind from the south, it's 86, the real feel is 98.
It's baby day, went to the doctor with Caitlyn. Strong heartbeat, baby is doing great, I'm worried about Caitlyn. I'll put it in the breakroom.
Happy Thursday.

A tornado touched down about an hour south of me two days ago. They've always said we were protected from them because of the mountains around us. Clearly that's not the case since we've had them come through periodically over the last couple of decades. Yesterday we had some pretty severe storms roll through and it's raining yet again as I type with t-storms slated for a bit later tonight. Welcome to Spring. The weather really does seem to be going crazy all over the US.

I live on a hill and surrounded by "old mountains" that are now big hills. No worries about tornadoes here.

Mountains do protect you from tornados, however, when one does happen to dip in, it's usually really bad.
There's a whole weather and science lesson in it, but basically, if a tornado drops down into a valley, the up draft makes it worse.

Lol! Reminds me of a lady who worked for us who moved here from California. We had a tornado watch and asked me what to do, I told her to click her heels together and chant there is no place like home.
