I need to get outside before the rain starts. Did a bit of stuff out in town and getting some sauce started.

Glad all of y'all are enjoying your day.

Random rain showers here, so not doing anything outside.

Washing the bedding today.

And watching whatever I can find on tv.

I know, I know. I live THE MOST exciting life EVER!

😄 Happy Sunday.

Hi everyone!

Went for my walk. Puttered in my garden.

Then I watched Rafa win the French Open for the 12th time! Yeehaw Rafa!

Cate came down to play. I just dropped her off.

Boy, am I beat.wink

I'm going to try to take it easy for the rest of today.

We just had a brief thunder shower. I almost wish we'd get more. If not, I'm going to have to run the sprinklers tonight.

Have a good day, everyone!smile

Drove up to PA to get fireworks. It was a pleasant drive even though we hit a bit of traffic coming home.

Awww, you should have come to NH then we could have had a meet up!

I wish whatever big thunderstorm would start already!

It's so humid! Just sticky all over.

Working on a late lunch, early supper.

Cornbread, fried green tomatoes, white beans, and boiled potatoes, and Mac and cheese. Yup, it's a country dinner kind of day.

I need to get some sparklers.

I've been friend dumped! A person that I know (?) ditched me at last minute for a road trip because she 'had worked soooo hard this week and wasn't going to get out of bed aaaaaaaall day'. This is not the first time. So I reminded her that she had made a commitment and a last minute 'I'd rather nap' excuse wasn't okay and that I was mad at her'.

Then she told me that I should really learn to trust her because she wasn't 'one of my traumatic previous relationships' (??). I told her that if she wasn't getting out of bed all day than our early evening plans must be cancelled too, so I was going to do something else because my schedule wasn't going to rotate around her sleep preferences. After a bunch of weird texts, I told her that I was sorry that this was happening but that I couldn't take resposibility for choices and that for full repair it would be nice to hear an apology for being ditched (she never actually did). She responded telling me that she wasn't 'built to have anger in her relationships and she wasn't sure she could ever get past walking on eggshells with me so that I wouldn't get mad at her' and 'she doesn't know how to get through it'. So I stopped messaging.

Somehow, I managed to get ditched and suddenly she's the victim and isn't sure how to get past it ....

Now I need to figure out what to do with that extra concert ticket I have ....

Well that sucks, tig. Some people have a knack for becoming a victim when they're clearly not. They're masters at manipulation.

Just on the other side of the MD/PA stateline off I-15.  Keystone Fireworks in Gettysburg.

Is it one of those huge fireworks stores with big, sparkly, shiny signs, and a warning at the door about the hazards of smoking in the building?

There's one of those about a 45 minute drive from me. It's a little taste of living dangerous to go in. 😃😃

This happened to me years ago.  I was stuck with two extra tickets that I had paid for, trusting "friend" on her word that she would pay met back.  I was glad another friend of mine was going as well so at least I go to enjoy the concert.  People such as that are self centered. Walk away.

No sparkly signs but you do have to register and show ID each time you go in.  The boys are allowed in but cannot touch anything.  They have professional grade as well as sparklers etc.  Everything you can imagine.  I get the 200 gram ones that go about 40 - 60 feet in the air.  They sell the 500 gram ones as well.  Our neighbors get good ones like that, too, and together we light up the sky like Disneyland.  We also get cones that will last 2-3 minutes or more that are fun.  The ones you buy at the stands that come out each year are so small and short in comparison.    We also picked up some roman candles and helicopters that DH likes.

That would've been only a couple hours' drive for me.
