I ordered a couple of DVDs from Amazon.us and they arrived a day late but no problem there. My account says they still have not arrived so I contacted Amazon customer service about this to assure them I did, in fact, have the merchandise. Then I get another message the next day saying to contact customer service. So I did. They said they would take care of the problem and issued a $10.00 credit on my next order for my inconvenience. (What inconvenience?) Today I get a message saying that since my items are delayed Amazon has refund the shipping of $20.47 and given me a gift card for that amount to be used on my next purchase. I went back again and said I do not really want their money (though I appreciate the thought) but would they just clear off the order and show it as delivered. So... Now what do I do? Just leave the credit in the account? Use it? I went back again with an e-mail but am afraid the next time I look at it they will have refunded the cost of the DVDs... Good Lord. I think that the delivery agent either lost the receipt I signed (it was pouring rain and he had two other packages for us) or neglected to scan it.
I would just write them back and say items were received. If the credit remains, then you did all you could. Enjoy it.
I agree with this advice. Several of my friends have had this issue and told Amazon they received it and so left the credit alone for awhile but after a few months they used it. I think what has happened is the deliverer could not produce evidence of delivery to the seller so reimburses them.

Got another e-mail from customer service. They have changed the status of the delivery to delivered. And told me to keep the shipping refund and promotion $$. Looks like a good day for me!! Also got my "new" 6 front upper teeth. Feel like a human being again.

Thanks. They work fine. Not removable, a 6 tooth upper bridge (I guess you could call it). But this is only the beginning of my journey with the dentist. LOL
