It's like a shower out there. A hot, steamy, shower.

Now, I love the warmer weather, but the humidity this year has been really bad.

No real plans for the day.

Happy Saturday.

We are sweltering here as well. Heat indexes well above 110*.

Not much going on for me today. Meeting up with some friends late for dinner and girl talk. Other than that, I'm trying not to swim in my own sweat!

Have a great day and stay hydrated!

If the rain we've had so far this year is any indication of the snow we will get, Georgia will be closed till sometime in April.

Extremely hot here. I still need to shower. About all I may do today is go to B&N and browse. I won a gift card at my book club last night so plan on spending it. A friend wants to go to dinner but I am not feeling it. We shall see.

Have a Happy Day!

So there are not ballgames across the road today.

It's some kind of festival.

The music is just loud enough to be annoying.

It's been thundering all day, too.

It's dark, damp, dreary, depressing.

Thought about baking, but I'm worried the power will go off.

Turned on some music, hoping to get in a better mood.

But, really, I just want to sit in the dark and cry.

Ok. Made myself get up and do something.

Homemade chocolate cake in the oven.

It's the recipe on the back of Hershey's cocoa.

It's so yummy.

Music is helping.

I think I'll dust and vacuum.

Fake it till you make it, right?

Hello lily, FS, Ikwtd and SB. Hot here too! Went to a birthday party and came home and cleaned the refrigerator, doing some laundry now. DH is leaving tommorrow for a business trip, won't be home till Saturday night.

Glad you are feeling better lily and yes I made that chocolate cake before, it is good.

DH left the big freezer door not quite
sealed, so there is frost on all the
shelves. It will have to wait until
I am up and about again. Hope it
doesn't damage all the food our
church friends sent home with us
last Sunday.

Ugh. One more chore to look
forward to.

The computer that controls the hot water heater decided that it was not going to work anymore. Of course the thing is so old that there are not any parts available. OK. Oh, wait a minute - you have a tile bath (as opposed to a bath tub) and there are no longer heaters made to service that. So.... the whole bathroom has to be torn out. OK. Oh, oh - the size of the room is quite strange (due to the steel beams in the building) which is probably why a tile bath was built in the first place. Yeessss.... No standard tubs will fit into it. Perhaps one can be made, etc. Or at the worst prospect, it can be made into a shower room - shades of college and the military... Ugh... But, we do have hot water temporarily and the shower, etc. works. So we shall see what the next couple of weeks holds for us. This is a dependable company so I am not afraid of any rip-offs, etc. (Estimated around $12,000 for the whole job depending on whether it is a bathtub or just a shower). Everything is separate here - toilet, lavatory, bath. Putting them all into one room would not solve anything as the steel beams are still in the way. Just a little vent.
