Here's an earful:my brother decided to sell his sperm to a lesbian couple who then had his baby girl. Well now the couple has broken up and my sister is a wreck about the baby. What if this and what if that.
I told her it's really none of her business, while we both agree it was a pretty crappy thing for my brother to do (yes that's how we feel take it or leave it ) it's too late now and the baby IS hers. If she wants to reach out to my brother she will, otherwise there's nothing we can do.

He's a little... Weird. He feels like he is doing mankind a great service by selling his sperm like crazy and blessing the world with his superior genes. Don't get me wrong I love him to death but he isn't the most humble fella.
But I digress. He has not been involved in her life, as far as I know, I think he has the mom on facebook and that's it

Well tell her to calm down. Even if it were a heterosexual couple that bought the sperm there are no rights for the donor. Certain your sister must get child custody law. Geesh.

It's not his baby. It belongs to the couple who adopted it. He has no more rights than if he had donated his kidney and tried to claim the recipient was now his.
Tell sister baby will be fine. She has at least one loving parent who will take great care of her. The wife may still want to be included in baby's life as well.

On paper yes, it's her baby. But in our hearts we know it's also my brother's biological baby which is sad that we can't be a part of her life. That is where my sister's angst comes from.

Well, if your brother is spreading his sperm around like that, you likely have lots of unknown nieces and nephews! Hopefully, they never grow up and unknowingly marry.
