Okay so there's this comedian I just saw on the news last night who got fired from snl for making racial slurs against Asians a long time ago. I'm just dying to know what he said! But I can't find it anywhere. His name is Shane Gillis if anyone cares to investigate.

Yeah, that's what I mean. I don't think someone can be held responsible today for something that was fully appropriate 20 years ago. Goodness, I just watched season 1 of Glee on netflix and damn! That show would have caused an uproar today!

Why not? The Left wants to slam what happened 30 yrs ago if it is someone on the right.
I don't believe that everything that happens as a disagreement is left vs right. That creates a very narrow view of disagreements. And kind of a fixation on blaming extremist politics for things like that. People can be pissed. It has nothing to do with a political party.
I see and hear all this racism crap, he said this or that 30 years ago, and think about the movie Blazing Saddles, or the tv show All in the Family, or even The Jeffersons.
We went from being able to laugh at ourselves and the racism around us, all of us, to not being able to distinguish between racism and comedy.
