We've had a skunk somewhere close by for a few mornings this week, this morning when I let Monster out it smelled really close. Goodness. I think it was on the carport not too long ago.

It's a glorious 59 degrees right now. Enjoying this break in the heat.

I have no plans for today. I'm thinking I might do some baking.

Hope everyone enjoys their blessings today.

Happy Saturday.

Bunch of errands to do this morning. This afternoon I am going to work on more purging. Then off to friends tonight for a bonfire. It will be near 90 today and tomorrow then back to fall temps next week.

It's supposed to get up into the 80's today and 90 tomorrow. Pool heater is back on! We haven't had rain since I can't remember so I've been watering the heck out of the yards. The gardener aerated and seeded the lawns the other day. I can't believe it's almost October.

You gotta stay out of that heat, FWM - your avatar looks like it's melting!

Good morning. Again. 😊

Have fun at the bon fire, IKWTDS.

Enjoy time with your mom,FWM.

Hey FNW, SB, and Tig.

Ballgames across the road are in high swing.

Did a little fall decorating. Nothing major, just switching out my flowers and doodads.

I paid for the flooring for 1/2 bath & Laundry area then looked at some vanities/counter tops. I've chosen what I want for style & color including the top. Just need to decide if I do the 30" vanity or the 21".

Off to walk the dog as soon as I finish making the hummingbird nectar then I need to put down the grass seed and get the sprinkler going.

I would want the 30, but that might be because my makeup and other products seemingly reproduce and then flee for freedom thus taking over most of the surface.

This is a 1/2 bath so just guest use and use by DD and I when on the first floor.  The 21" would fit the plumbing there but I have enough space for the 30" with 10" left over between the 30" and the toilet tank.  Plus that will give me more storage.

Done with the chores but I do want to pack up the car with my GW donations just to get them out of the dining room.

How much storage is needed for a 1/2 bath? Toilet paper, 2 cleaners, hand towels, a comb, tampons/pads, and soap.

And you need a place for a trash can.

Dog stuff, bandaids, borax because after working in the yard one needs to store that type of thing in addition to others on the first floor, and because it is near the laundry other items. If I have space I think I should take advantage.

I wasn't being snarky, I was asking practicality.

My mawmaw turned two washrooms, at different homes, into a shared half bath/mud room. It was genius.

My cousin did the same when building.

I will do that here when I get a chance.

As for your bathroom, sounds like a floor to ceiling cabinet might be useful.

Don't have the space for that cabinet. I want the bathroom to feel open. I am good. I am adverse to cluttering space, must have open space.

I would love that cabinet, Lily, but I wouldn't have room in the powder room. Our condo's main level powder room had a pedestal sink so there was no storage. I kept a basket in the corner with towels rolled up as a decoration but would store toilet paper underneath.

My current powder room has a vessel sink on top a granite vanity with cabinets underneath and I put quite a bit in there. Toilet paper, cleaning supplies, band-aids, night lights (seasonal for decor), extra light bulbs, sunscreen, extra soap etc. Saves me from having to run upstairs.

That is my 1/2 bath.  Store all those light bulbs, sunscreen etc needed on the first floor.  I think I am talked into the 30".  I will happy with it.

I'll be right over with my makeup bag.
