Tried to call my brother yesterday to wish him a happy birthday but his car died and he was not in a good mood. Apparently there was a recall on it so it should be covered...not sure why he didn't take it in for the recall but I suspect that's why he's dodging our calls...doesn't want to hear about it.
Early dismissal today so I'll take the boys to lunch. Then one of the local Catholic high schools has invited middle schoolers to their football game tonight so we'll go to that...they'll be in high school before we know it and they are already courting the boys....several in the area but none real close so transportation will be an issue. We'll get through it.

Kind of what I was thinking although I don't think they are allowed to drive with another minor for the first year or two. I have to check the VA DMV rules on that one of these days.

I saw that too. It's only a certain section but of course it's where we are staying. It happens often. I guess it has something to do with currents and sewage. 😨. It's pirate fest coming up next week. Thankfully we have a pool.

Getting down to 35 tonight. DD checked my oil level. I have a 60% full tank so won't need oil until end of December or January. Depends on when I start using my heat. Haven't had to turn it on yet.

Got a latte and cookie from my favourite little bakery/cafe right next door to this (old) office because it'll be really far away at the new place. That is the only thing that makes me sad about this move.
