Why can't I have the day off? UGH! This early shift sucks. lol It's 23* out there. Supposed to warm up to the low 40s today and near 50 tomorrow. I woke up thinking it's Friday. Thanks for reminding me it's only Thursday! hehehe
Bloody hell. The transit strike has just affected my trip to work. Either a bus 40m early or 40m late. The middle one (mine) iscancelled. I would have taken the early one, but it was't until after that that I figured I should check and see if there were delays (generally 5-10m, not 40!)
Now I have to figure out where the best & cheapest all day parking is :(
Really want to buy a set of re-useable straws because i hate the paper crap that all the restaurants and fast food places have switched to. Everyone except McD's, so now I go there if I just want a fountain pop. They look at me funny but it's seriously all about the straw.
I think that either silicone or stainless steel would work, and both are dishwasher safe, but how do you carry it after you use it? If I use it in the restarurant, do I just stick it in my purse after? Ew. Many of them come with a little bag, but I think that the bag is more for storing them all and not for carrying around used ones. It's just a little fabric bag. Thoughts? I don't spend a ton of time needing straws, but I seriously can't go to 7-11 any more because they've switched too! I used to get annoyed that fountain pop used need the giant slurpy straw, but I'd rather use that than paper!
Went into the office. When I arrived everyone said hi or ikwtds! A bit like norm when he would walk into Cheers.😀 cracked me up. I should go in more often but I love not commuting.
Warm to everyone!

Carry a large storag baggi, small enough for your purse and you could just ziplock it. I hate paper straws which was what was used when I was a child and they use to collapse before you were halfway done.
One advertises that I should buy theirs because it is silicone which makes it not 'slip out of your lips'. Do people really have that problem? Straws just randomly falling out of their mouths?
Drink water? Sorry, I'm not a soda person. I would think carrying a baggie to put it in after use would work. Or stock up on plastic and use them and toss when through.
