Going Christmas shopping. Hoping to get it finished this week. And hoping to get my SS gift in the mail this week, too.

Some lights aren’t working on our tree, husband tested the wiring and checked for burned out bulbs, but nothing worked so I get the pleasure of buying a string of lights for a prelit tree.

We had to do that as well Lindley. Seems the prelit trees only last 2 years. DH spent a fair amount of time taking the burned out string off before putting a new strand on. We could actually watch the old strands burn out. Lights got really bright then then went out. So frustrating.
Sunny and windy here. We got rain yesterday, but not a lot.
Awwwww...I remember when my father used to do the same for my mother. And I have a friend who used to stop along the side of the road on his way home and pick wildflowers for his wife to take home to her. So sweet!

See if it has a fuse. It's usually in the plug.

DH just surprised me with three gorgeous pink roses from the garden! Recycled water bottles make the most wonderful vases!

Got most of my Christmas shopping done today. I have 3 people left to buy for.
I'm so tired, and sick! I don't know what, but something I ate has made me sick to my stomach.
But I'll get over.
Going to change into my gown and housecoat, and sit in living room with nothing but the Christmas lights on.

Tomorrow I'm sneaking in to the assembly at school. The boys don't know it, but #2 will receive the virtue of the month award (kindness) and both boys are being acknowledged for the coding competition. Both were first place in their class. The entire middle school (all three grades) competed, so for 6th graders to win that's pretty big. I had to brag.

Having an issue with ex-FH (f*** head). DD has had braces on for 2.5 years I have faithfully taken taken her every 6 weeks for the entire time. I have surgery next week and asked FH to take her this one app't. Nope he won't. I am getting stressed over the surgery since I need to sleep/relax. I have plenty of friends to help but this really pisses me off.
