Good morning all. I cannot wait for this coming week to be over. Lots going on. I need to finish up Christmas shopping today (on line). I work 3 days this week then the surgery on Thursday. That will put me out of commission for a few days. I need to stock up on things I will need.
It was below 0 when I got up. Luckily it is sunny out and warming up to about 32. Next two days will be 50's and rainy. At least it will melt a good amount of the snow. Taking the dog for a walk soon with a friend of mine and her dog.

Morning. Just trying to catch up on weekend stuff today. Didn't do anything in the house since we were out all day yesterday. In exhausted. Only got about 2 hours sleep Friday night so my body is objecting to me being up. I have to run a few errands and try to finish decorating. Tired, so tired.
Went to church this morning, but I left early. Shame on me.
Home now, just finished packing my SS gift, it's ready to mail.
Thinking of doing a little baking, but I'm also thinking of taking a nap. Decisions, decisions. What's a body to do?

Hello Ikwtd, SB, lily and fnw 👋🏻 Supposedly my grandson single handily ruined Christmas for the kids in his Sunday School class, Son n DIL aren’t doing Santa but stressed big time not to ever share that information. Well he is four and he mentioned that in Sunday school class. My DIL felt so bad.
Decided to clean a few cabinets. Took all the regular glasses out and decided they all should go through the dishwasher. Wiped the shelves and I plan to eliminate a few as I put everything back. Also cleaned some expired spices out. Moved my holiday coffee mugs to the front of the mug cabinet.
5:30 - just got back from Church.
The Mary Bells rang at Communion,
then we had 2nd Sunday lunch, then
we packed up all the bells, tables,
music stands, etc. etc. etc., and
carted everything to the VA hospital
in Kerrville (30 min. away). They
were SO gracious, and had marked
off 4 parking spots right by the
entrance! Made it much easier
for us ladies.
The residents (about 30 of them)
really appreciated our concert and
asked us to come back again. We
might be able to do another one
in late spring.
Just finishing up on a couple of
home made things for my SS,
then I can get it in the mail
tomorrow.
I had an energy surge after the dog / friend walk. I grocery shopped to stock up for the next two weeks. Then I cleaned up the living room from all of DD's crap, I put it all in one container, she was mad, jerk.
I also put together a gift for a friend today. She lost her BF of over 10 years ago a year ago, about a month after her mother's passing. He was the one that had the traditional New Orleans style funeral. Anyway, she has no family no speak of so 3 of us friends decided to send her something for Christmas. I bought a gift card to her fav store and a great xmas card. I then remembered she like my frosted xmas cookies so I just whipped up a batch for her, I cut out 4 hearts that I will initial with each of our initials and then 6 xmas trees. Will have to decorate tomorrow. I also bought cat toys for the two cats her BF left behind. I am sure she will cry when she opens the box but also feel good inside that she has great friends.

DH had another surprise for me.
When I sat down at the computer,
I noticed that the 3 roses he had
put in a water bottle on my desk
looked a little fuller. Lo and behold
he had added two more roses !
Thanks. I have the love of the Christmas season, I just don't have a lot of time for medical reasons. So I am taking care of those I can this week. I think i am good on the to-do list. I have to say I buy my kids gifts and love that but I love even more being able to do so and surprise someone who may be grieving or down this season. I am excited for my friend to get her gift. Every part of it says "we love you and are here for you". Warms my heart to do so.
