To work early this morning (well, early than usual). It's 'block weekend', so between now and Sunday everyone who wants to do intensive work books 2hr blocks of time (minimum 2x day = blocks. 4x day = day). So, most of today and early Sat are prep, and then Sunday is all in. A long day for everyone. The clients each do 2 blocks, but I do 8 or 10, depending on the weekend.
Also ended up with emergencies last night, so no candied anything. No baking either. I might have to go buy something and put it in the host boxes. Also have company coming on Monday through the 26th, have friend gatherings in between the company stuff and then get on a plane the night of the 26th. And my bathing suit order hasn't come yet. And I have to clean my living room. And my bathroom. At least the kitchen is done!
Done with work until Jan 6. I re registered my car and made an appointment for the inspection. Only thing I have left to today is one lowed of laundry, clean microwave and bring DD to an ortho app't.
Hate this cold weather we are having. I am having issues walking, my stitches are pulling. I have my post op tomorrow.

I am not going to be on the bus by 9. I have officially decided to drive. Ugh. I try not to because of gas and parking, but something is off today. On long days I like to have the car to get home rather than the bus. (I can also stop for walnuts! :D). There. That's my excuse. I have to run errands.
Tig ~ You might want to try pecan halves instead of walnuts.
It seems everyone agrees with you. I went looking for pecans, but they were sold out at two grocery stores both in the baking aisle and in the bulk bins!

We had our team Christmas luncheon today and gift exchange. I got a really pretty wristlet.
I am off now until after New Year's but I will be checking in next week. I have several task orders I have to award, one by the end of December, and others by the end of January. I'm sure the contractors are not happy with me.

LOL, my team was all told to be ready to answer the phone and check email every so often over the 2 week break because we anticipate contract awards.

I just issued an RFP with a 1/13 due date, and there's another one out with a 1/9 due date. I've been calling in to the site visits rather than showing up in person.
Dammit. I've been waiting for a MEC order to come in with stuff that I need for Indonesia and I leave on the 26th. I was freaking out it wouldn't get here and I would have to cancel it.

I never ordered it. Its just sitting there in my cart. Now I have to go there in person and hope that they have something on sale similar to what i found online. If that's a fail I have to go to the Bay. I hate the Bay. Maybe I should just wait and get a swimsuit or two when I get to Bali.

I know. Believe me, I don't like doing it either. But current task orders were extended to due internal delays, and now they are expiring end of this month and January.
