I love that. Just hanging around sipping my coffee. leaving around noon to go my brother's where we will do our family Yankee swap and dinner. Low key this year. The way I like it.

Sometimes you're the windshield, and sometimes you're the bug.
We took my parents to Ruth Chris's last night to celebrate mom's 80th. Today we're relaxing. I'll get in the shower and we'll go to my parents' later. The boys got their new iPhone X's, DH got his apple watch, I got a new laptop (yeah-no more sticky keys!) and a 7-in-1 victrola with Bose bluetooth speaker. And a bluetooth thingy that "sends" from the victrola to the speaker.
The kids came for breakfast and then we opened gifts. Cate had a blast! She got a ton of fun stuff.
Taking a break. We'll have dinner at five. Prime rib with homemade horseradish sauce, shrimp scampi, stuffed mushrooms, chilled asparagus, sherry rice, rolls and butter, cheesecake and mincemeat pie. I better rest while I can. I'm going to be busy!
I got a new phone. My old one was a Samsung 5 , it was out of storage, and falling apart. I was going to try to see if I qualified for a government phone. So thankful for this one.
I opened a pretty pink case for it this morning, a speaker for it, and some candy.
Jewel is a bit too young for Christmas this year, but I'm enjoying her so much this year.
The kids have been a complete joy.

Merry Christmas and as lily said Happy Birthday Jesus! Son and family are here, had homemade cinnamon rolls for breakfast and we all opened presents, the kids had a blast opening their presents and playing with their new toys, husband bought me 3 bottles of perfume 🤷 and a IPad, will be grilling some steak later on.

We have our DD’s family here for the afternoon and evening. Low key this year since the real family gathering is Sunday. Need a day like today, so peaceful even though we are in a food coma. 😂
