The year is almost over! It's a balmy 71°. Just drove past doc in a box. It was packed. People looking for an excuse to miss work tomorrow. I don't blame them.
I hope we get a good hard freeze for a month. Need to kill off some skeeters before summer!😆

It's raining here. It's miserable, cold, damp and just blah! Glad I don't have to go out. Got some laundry done, daily chores and am working on restructuring and hemming some dining room drapes. What a chore. Oh well . . .
Hello everyone, took down the decorations yesterday, I’m one of those who loves Christmas but done with it the day after, I once took it down Christmas night.
Ice storm starting in a few hours which will last through tomorrow and then snow on Tuesday. I'm all set to hunker down for the next two days. Snow I can deal with, ice sucks however. I will spread ice melt just when the storm gets underway tonight.
Went with a friend to one of the new Casinos in Ma today. It was elaborate to say the least. In the end I won 1.65, friend lost 4.00. We are not gamblers but wanted to check it out. Had lunch on the way home. Fun day.

Just spread rock salt in anticipation of the storm. I read on line to use a spreader to make it more even and to also spread somewhat lightly. Less is better. DONE. It was so easy. I have not in the past spread it before a storm started. Hope that is the trick.

My father does this. He says it's easier to shovel.

That's what the on line article said. Even with ice storms it makes it easier to get the ice off the driveway.

Tomorrow is dig out day...sigh. Hope the snow ends tonight so we can dig out. The wind is awful. All roads are closed. At least we have power and water! Life is good.
