We have the loudest birds lately! But their songs are pretty.

The other night, an owl was on our carport. Sat on the cabinet out there most of the night.  It didn't leave an invitation to Hogwarts, though.

Yucky is our weather for the next few days. Cold and wet.

Happy Friday!

I remember walking along the C&O canal years ago and an owl swooped down in front of me. I was pretty startled.

TGIMF!!!!!!! Martini Friday!

Martini's Awesome

I had an eagle swooped over my house yesterday. The animal wildlife is exciting this time of year due go mating season. Deer, Turkey's, coyotes, Owls, etc. Oh and a porcupine.

Long week is over, 17 hours OT. So done. But this weekend is all about driving DD to her various volunteer and community service activities. She is doing so well.

Perhaps the owl could not locate the person for whom the invitation and/or mail was intended. Anyone not home that night, Lily?

Cold and cloudy here. The usual birds showed up for bread crumbs today. Pigeons, a couple of swallows and a couple of birds that are black and white and run around like they are in a real hurry. I do not know what species they are. Fun to watch, though. The outside cats also watch and dream but are never able to catch one. The birds do not seem to be at all afraid of the cats. LOL

Karl, the birds I see daily are so unbelievable.  I wish I had the time to sit on the steps and take pics. Blue birds, finches in all colors, Owls, Eagles, hawks, Red headed wood peckers,  and of course Cardinals, plus more  I live in an area where my back yard is all woods and leads down to a very large pond.  The wildlife is so beautiful.  This is why I bought the broken down house; because of the location.  Last needed project is a new roof. Rest of the projects are just wants.

Had a really fun January Birthday day. Breakfast at the cutest little 'mom & pop' (although it's more mom/mom/pop/pop) cafe followed by 3 thrift stores - in which I found a great antique little jewelry box. A scratch, sort of, that I couldn't even really notice. 2 pair of jeans and 2 sweaters. Not a bad haul!

Then to Bulk Barn. Damn I love Bulk Barn! My friend had never been and was like, "I buy in bulk at Costco"... Um.... not like this you don't! It was Disney Land for her. Now watching the 2 hr Grey's crossover episode.

Sounds like a great January Birthday!!

IKWTDS, it sounds like a really terrific place to live. Just hope that "progress" does not come along and spoil it...
