I'm here. Just had my computer
guru here to make my printer work.

Not much happening, just sitting
around with my wound vac.
I'll see if I can convince my DH
to drive me to the library to
return some books and get
some more.

Hi Momala.

DD is doing Community service with JROTC today. I need to go pick her up in about 10 minutes. She may go see her stepgrandfather later (her father's step dad) He is not doing well. Has had lung cancer for years.

I'm here🙋. Just back from church. Another great service.

Waiting for the oven to get hot, gonna throw a couple pizzas in, and binge some Netflix.

Jewel is being a fussy butt today. A little gassy.

Momala, a trip to the library sounds great.

Hi, IKWTDS, sorry to hear about your daughter's grandfather.

It has been slow lately. I guess we are all just busy.

Happy Sunday.

I'm in hell. Or I'm at work. Been here since 7. Looks like we will be here till 5 or 6. Worked 13 hours Friday.  It's hard to appreciate the extra money when you are burned out. I hope everyone is doing well.

I've been watching The Tennis.

Which means, I stay up all night, and am a zombie during the day.

I'll be around more, in another week.wink

A yucky day here. Totally overcast and dreary. No more rain though. I also stayed up to watch tennis but unfortunately couldn't sleep in. Was still up at 5:30. UGH Just putzed around the apartment and then vegged.

This was a hellatious week and weekend. Just terrible. The kids got LICE. I have been doing nothing but combing hair, doing laundry and sanitizing the house.

I am here. The lady who owns the house next door is gone and the water pipe on the back of her shed (which backs on us) broke about 10 a.m. and has been shooting a fountain of water (in 3 places) over our lawn and hers. Of course she is not home and no one knows where she is. And, of course, the closing valve on the water main is "frozen" tight from no use or whatever.
Finally a man from in front of us got it turned off. A little excitement on Sunday and I wonder what she is going to think when she gets home? She is a little over 80 years old but still going. The next fun she will have is trying to get a plumber out to fix it......

That is going to suck for her when she gets home to say the least.

That's awful!  But something similar happened to us when we lived in the condo.  The next door neighbor was renting and they were out of town and his pipe burst, flooding his, ours, and the couple below us.  I did some investigative work and located the owner (in California) and notified them.  They immediately contacted the rental management company they were using and someone came out to fix it.  In the meantime, I had the water company come out and shut the water off.  Apparently the wall between our garages was mere drywall and so they cut a hole in it so they could get inside (from our garage) and fortunately the door leading inside was unlocked so they could turn it off from inside so the mgmt company could make repairs.  We had to replace the hardwoods in the hallway leading in from the garage.  The neighbors below had carpeting and most of the flooding was in their closet.  Yuck.  It was a mess.  I ran out to Target and bought a mini shop vac and just kept vacuuming up the water until they could get it turned off to minimize the damage.  Fun times.

There is actually a salon in my hometown in Florida that is exclusively for lice.

I remember when the daughter of my germaphobe friend contracted it. It was awful, but we couldn't help but laugh at the irony.

Sorry, LL. It takes diligence to
get rid of it, and to keep it from
coming back!

After the lice is gone, spray the kids hair with hairspray every day. Lice prefer clean hair, they don't like the hairspray.

You can also add tea tree oil to your shampoo. Just a drop of two in a new bottle. Lice don't like that, either.

I understand rosemary oil is a good deterrent, too.

A little hair dye works, too. My sister put a highlight in her kids hair. Her stylist told her. Only kid in class who didn't get lice.
