We got Jewel's Easter dress, bloomers, socks, and bonnet.
Now we are at the outlet stores.

NEW PORCH ! ! !
When one of the ladies brought
us dinner as part of the meal
train set up for me, she took a
good look at our porch, and
decided it wasn't safe for two
elderly people. She contacted
a local angel, who put the word
out, and last Saturday a new
(used) porch was delivered.
The porch was available because
the owner had upgraded their
own porch.
This morning, a crew of three
youngsters (late teens/early
twenties) and a contractor
showed up, with all the tools
needed to replace the porch.
They've been at it non-stop
and we couldn't be happier.
We've truly been blessed.
So talk about shopping? Since I burned the holes in the area rug last night I decided to order a new one. I have the painter lined up to finish off painting the living room ( started it over Christmas break).
And I have hired someone to paint my kitchen cabinets. Love the cabinets but the color doesn't work. The cabinets are a good quality maple and I paid a lot for those, they are custom with the custom trim work that goes to the ceiling. Going for a white. That will be done in April. And he will paint the walls in the kitchen same color as the living room and hallway that will be painted.
I also bought a barn door to separate the living room from the laundry and 1/2 bath. Finally found one where the color matches the color of the rustic beam I have going through the living room. Since it is weight bearing I cannot take that out so designing around it. Embracing it. My living room will now be a nice coordinated modern with a couple of rustic pieces. I do need to shop for a couple of new pieces of furniture.
