So, being stuck at home with nothing to do has caused people to start to be creative with their time.  What have you guys tried?  List your successes and your 'umm... that didn't work's.

Win: mastered a medium roast and gravy!

Loss: figured I would play with eye makeup because I suck at it.  Got a new palette with lots of pretty pinks and purples to play with.  Turns out blending pink and purples of various shades produces an exact replica of a black eye.  At least when I do it.  Fail.

You guys?

Working on a veggie garden. Not sure if the beets I transplanted yesterday will make it. The soil wasn't compacted enough and fell away from the roots when I put them in the ground. But the ones I planted in bags are coming up so I'll still have some.

Unfortunately, I'm not quarantined, still have to work, so life for me is as it usually is.

You should watch the makeup tutorials on YouTube.  My daughter has become fabulous at make-up by watching those.

Me, too.  And DH got laid off on Monday.  He's actually not that unhappy about it right now.

I’m sure you will get a lot of projects done around the house for now LL. Fortunately our business both here and I. California is considered essential so that hasn’t changed and in fact we are very busy, I’m helping with my grandbabies and keeping the pantry stocked. Also husband and I are watching more shows together since all the sports are shut down.

Down side, I miss having lunch with my friends and getting nails done, I do hope that the young families who are home together more, cooking and being creative with activities with their children will continue after this is over.

I am making bows. I'm itching to go to Hobby Lobby.

I live in a state of semi quarantine all the time. The big difference for me is that everyone else is here a lot, too.

So far I've failed at being productive. Just not feeling it.

Cracking up.  I've cleaned mine as well. Plus a bunch of other things I don't usually care about.  Tomorrow might see the secretary cleaned out.  Problem is I don't think Goodwill is accepting donations right now so it's all piling up.

Our local "Pass it on" shop had to
put out a sign saying "No donations
until we are open again !" They
were over-run with sofas, lamps,
bags and bags of clothing, etc.

Its a good thing we haven't had
too much rain, otherwise all of
that stuff would have been ruined.

I should, too. The farm has plenty of eggs and milk to deliver but put a hold on veggies at least for next week. Deviled eggs or egg salad would make a good Friday lent lunch.

I’ll consider this a loss. I take a few meds daily. I use on of those boxes with the days if the week. It has an am and pm side. Yesterday evening I was taking my meds and saw my am ones were still there. I was thinking to myself that I could have sworn I took my pills that morning. So I took them. This morning I went to take am pills and they were gone. I got my days mixed up last night and ended up doubling up. Dummy.

Love a good naan, LGS.

And babaganush. I didn't spell that right, never do. But, dang, is it good!

It's hard to find someone to go out for Indian food with. I had a friend in L.A. who I used to go out with during lunch. My friend I stayed with in Japan liked it so we went to a place in Hiroshima. It was soooo good. DH doesn't like curry and he seems to think it's all curry so he's not interested in going. I will make some dishes at home which he does enjoy. We all love naan. Care to share the recipe?

My daughter loves Indian food, the only time I’ve had it was in India, my daughters landlords wife fixed dinner for us, and another family in the village invited us to eat with them, that was truly a experience and the first time I ate a meal with my hands. Unfortunately Indian food doesn’t like me.

In Delhi, we went to a American restaurant andI ordered fettuccine Alfredo thinking it would be easier on my stomach and unfortunately they added curry, it was delicious but was afraid to eat to much since we were flying back to the states that night

Tonight was the first kids class on line for my church. There were about 20 watching. So that's a win.

We've been asked to minimize spring cleaning because the trash companies are only coming once a week now and will not be leaving their trucks, to minimize their exposure to the virus. Also, we are asked to contain our bio products, i.e., dirty tissue, etc.

Well, he had a week off where he did practically NOTHING.  I think the boredom got him motivated.

Yep, I guess that would do it. It's certainly motivating me even though I'm not stuck at home unfortunately.

I'll save $40, win. Monster may look like a skinned rat, lose.

I have spent a total of 4 days at home in the last three weeks. Three were this week. I went to MILs house today to start taking inventory and cleaned out the bathroom of all toiletries that were used or opened. Brought some stuff home and gave some to neighbor who likes lavender scented things.

We are hoping to spend the next few days at home. We may have to head to MILs house again over the weekend but are hoping DSS wants to move his stuff another weekend.
