I some how managed to get my right foot twisted up in the covers, and now I have a huge, baseball size lump on the outside of my ankle, and I can't put much weight on it. It happens.
I kept dreaming about rain and mobile homes last night. And a little, not quite 2 year old child.weird.
Oh well happy Wednesday.

FWM, DH & #1 got back alley haircut this weekend. She wore a mask and asked that all others wear one as well. She couldn't charge us, but we paid her well.
Have you opened up at all, trudy? I hope this isn't fodder for the "lock everyone up" mentalities.
No, my brother is complaining about golf courses. I sneak up to work in a cab. No buses for me. All the homeless ride them all day since they are free. Our civic center is a makeshift hospital for the homeless. That is my bus stop. No way I'll go near that!
Our golf courses are closed but private courses are still open. He can sneak a cab down here and golf with DH! Can't use the club house though. There is a locker room open for bathroom use. And the Grill on the Hill is open sometimes but if not, you can order from the club restaurant and get take out.
Yeah, stay off the bus. I think the homeless should be quarantined in those makeshift hospitals.

She said the shop where she worked went bankrupt and she's out a job. I said maybe they just boarded up the windows to hide the speakeasy hair salon that was inside. She wished.

My friend's son's surgery was a success. The full tumor removed, with apparently cells are 'low grade' (a good thing?) with a biopsy by the middle of next week.

This is why you need their own phone number!
I am FB friends with my hairdresser, so I could contact her. But to be honest, I'd like to learn how to color my own hair and save myself $200 every 4 weeks. I'm tweaking the color from what I did last time and hope to have my exact preferred color. I love my hairdresser, but she is expensive. And I would like to see a little more red/orange rather than copper/brown.
I enjoy going. I sit in the bar next store. He schedules all his 'fun' clients together for loads of laughs. People try to join in. Back off! We are our own little group. Although GG is invited! He just laughed.
Our hairdressers and barbers organizations are petitioning to be continued to be non-essential and not open during the first wave.
Can they not control their own hours? They don't have to open, do they?

I don't know how to make sure it's accurate, but I'd like to know how the homeless community has been affected by this.
How many have/had it, hospitalized, died? Compared to the rest of the population.

Praise God.
Glad that hear this. Now we pray for a speedy recovery.

Well, I am covid 19 negative and have no antibodies meaning I never had it. Surgery is scheduled for 9 am tomorrow. Only one person can come in with me and we both have to wear masks. Our hair salons are opening Friday. You have to wear a mask though. DS made me an early morning Saturday hair appointment and I will be wearing my mask and eye patch and looking fierce.

Let me see if I remember how to post photo's. These were our Mothers Day cards. Nope. Don't remember. They were cute.

The stupid testing center said since I showed no signs I had to get my blood drawn. I was extremely pissed because they made me go inside and I had the four year old with me. Today the hospital said they didn't need blood because they don't care if I had it six months ago as long as I don't have it now. Stupid people.

Caitlyn, Jewel, and I went to Applebee's this past Sunday.
The menu was on a piece of paper, so it could be thrown away. The high chair had been cleaned, it looked brand new, and sealed in plastic, which was removed at our table. People were seated every other table. Everyone working there wore masks and gloves, and I watched them remove, wash their hands, and change gloves between each task. The menu was limited, most likely to foods that needed the least contact once cooked. As customers left, the table was double sanitized. The bus boy would take the dishes, and wipe the table, another would come behind and spray with a disinfectant, wait 3 minutes, and wipe down everything.
The bar seating was closed.
Entrance and exit were well managed.
It was probably the best experience I've ever had at an Applebee's.

I drove DH 90 minutes to his favorite
fishing hole. We got there around 4,
and unpacked at the motel (queen bed,
instead of the king requested). Okay,
we'll go with that.
Put the boat in the water, and push off
from shore. DH pulls the starter cord -
and nothing. More pulls, and still no
start-up. By this time, the breeze has
drifted us about 100 yards from the
boat ramp. I'm in front, and I paddle
us to the western shore, to keep DH
out of the bright sun.
After tinkering with the motor, DH
decides it is not going to start, so he
unlatches the (electric) trolling motor.
After attaching it at the stern, next to
the gas motor, he hooks it up to the
battery that has been aerating the
water that the bait fish have been
swimming in. Silence. Absolute
silence. After doing all he could on
the trolling motor, I start paddling
back to the boat ramp - we had
only one oar. About half way there,
we see another boat approaching us
from downriver. I stand up & start
waving my arms. They see us, and
come to our rescue. They pull us
into the ramp, and help us load the
boat onto the trailer. Big sigh of
relief.
We get back to the motel, and go
to unhook the trailer from the truck,
and we can't get the wheel down
that holds up the front of the boat
when it is not being towed. After
about 30 minutes, DH finally just
lets the front of the trailer drop to
the ground. We're tired, hungry,
and disgusted.
It's too late to head back home,
so we stay overnight. We finally
arrive home, and unload the boat
and truck. We put the perch back
in our pond, and we'll try again in
June. DH is going to put an electric
starter on the engine tomorrow.
And we found that the trolling
motor was filled with water! How
that happened, we don't know.
