We're supposed to get some pretty good rain, tonight. But, the day should be dry. A bit on the humid side. Yuck.
I call it "Foraging Friday". It's the one day a week, I refuse to cook dinner. I give the kids money, and they call in an order, and go out to pick it up. LOL!
We have to do our part to keep the restaurants in business, right?
That was our Friday's growing up, FWM. Dad worked at the bank which was open late so he got home late. It was usually TV dinner or fish sticks or mac'n cheese (Kraft) or whatever. Fend for ourselves night, basically.
I snagged us some dinner reservations in a couple weeks...eating in a parking lot...9 foot spaces, no touch service, tasting menu. Bring your own utensils if you want....weather permitting...Looks interesting and heard about it from a friend....

What a fun idea! I hope you have good weather for it. You'll have to let us know how it goes.
On a sad note, I heard of another restaurant that is closing in Fort Worth. The Bird Café is closing on May 22. They can't survive with the present restrictions. They are predicting that 20 to 30% of the restaurants in Texas will end up closing, for good. What a shame.
Mornin' Glories!
This year, my company has given us 1/2 day off every Friday from last Friday until Labor Day. LOVIN IT!!!!! And since we are working from home, it's so easy to just close my laptop and go take a nap!

That sounds great, Oh4! Yeehaw!
How are those adorable grandbabies doing?
We have missed you!
AW! Thank you! It's been a hell of a year.
The babies are AMAZING! Sweetness will be SEVEN this month! And, good Lord, what an attitude...WAY too smart for her age, and nothing gets by her.

Morning! Hope your work pile shrinks fast Trudy and no one yelling at you today, the restaurant sounds like they are taking a unique idea and sounds fun, Thursday is my day not to cook fwm. Sad that so many restaurants are having to close due to having to close down. I believe SIP has done more harm then good.
It's RuPaul's Drag Race night! Season 12 first, then Celebrity Drag Race (which is one of the most heartwarming and cute thing ever), and then Untucked! And then bed... I can't stay up much past that. I work early.
Usually I get dinner from somewhere when it's Race day. Used to be pizza with the only friend I had who liked it, but I fired her as a friend last year. Psycho b*tch. She was a neighbour so I had to be nice but then I moved. Out with the trash. I'll have to order something... support the restaurant day. My favourite restaurant is a brunch place though, so they're a little harder to support. Maybe Japanese tonight.

Did you hear about the restaurant that is filling the 'distance' tables with mannequins in formal dress? I think that is the most creative idea ever. I'd go!
Yes, the Inn at Little Washington. I've eaten there. It's a fantastic place. The kind of place you need reservations way in advance. You walk in, they know you by name. No need to tell them who you are. They know. You can eat in the kitchen, but it's a couple hundred dollars extra. The food was outstanding. It's famous in the DC area.
Slip a sip of something in the your coffee cup, Trudy, it'll at least make the rest of the day less blah.
Hope everyone is having a great day.
I had a horrible night, spent the better part of the night in the bathroom. I'm spent. Trying to rehydrate.
Happy Friday.

Oh my gosh, crazy insanely busy day. We celebrated the four year old's birthday today. She'll be five on Monday. I fed all the kids sugar all day and they were horribly crazy all day. We decorated sugar cookies with home made icing and the babies ate the icing right out of the bag. The four year old ate all the sugar sprinkles. I think we went through a gallon of chocolate milk and had cupcakes for dessert. No one wanted ice cream. We ate PB and J and mac and cheese. Yellow frosting was our fruit of the day. We had helium balloons and a parade. The police and fire departments drove by and gave her a teddy bear and the neighbors mounted signs on their cars and threw candy out. The kids all had a ball and none of the parents minded the crazy hyped up nonsense that was going down. Of course, this is the first time we've ever celebrated a birthday before. Usually we just attend the birthday at the kids houses and bring gifts but with the lock down we wanted to do something a little special for her. We bought her a Gaston doll and a Beauty and the Beast tea cart with dishes and candelabra that sings Be My Guest. The day was a huge success and I'm exhausted.
