Hump day! I've been sleeping like crap lately. I wish it would stop. It makes the days unbearable. My dogs have been so hyper lately. I let them out to run around but my backyard is just mud with all the rain.

New MIL story (These are going to be good)

She got someone else's mail in her mailbox and was LIVID. Now she is all paranoid that someone is going to wind up with HER mail...

(Sidebar - she shreds EVERYTHING. All junk mail, all receipts, even if its just for a bottle of water from the gas station. NOTHING is to be left with any of her information on it. Even if a flyer says To: Resident, it must be shredded)

She's convinced that someone is going to steal her identity. (She cannot support herself, so I'm not sure why anyone would want to). So when she got her neighbor's mail, she went straight to the post office and gave them a piece of her mind, causing quite the ruckus. She demanded to speak to the mail carrier (didn't happen), and they finally told her that she needed to get in touch with the Postmaster General. Guess what? SHE DID! She wrote a long scathing letter about how harmful this is and must be addressed immediately.

This was last week. She called me last night, angry that she has not gotten a reply, and asked if I thought she should send another letter, certified mail...

Ohfour! We are sisters-in-law!

My mother is paranoid about identity theft as well. She shreds anything with her name on it. Before she gives me her magazines, she removes that little sticker on it with her name/address on it. She's afraid I won't and doesn't want this information just sitting in the trash or recycle can after I'm done. Sheesh. Now I don't think she would raise a ruckus over misplaced mail, but only because she hadn't thought her mail may be in another person's box. I keep my mouth shut.

Chuckling at the mail situation O4 and FNW. They keep up the complaints the may not get their mail at all!

Appears I will be working from home the rest of my working days with my employer. The open concept work space is being rebuilt so everyone has a more private space plus no cube sharing. I was going in 1to 2 days a week before the lockdown and others would use my space when I wasn't there. That is in longer allowed. I am not sad about it.

My new Whirlpool clothes dryer
works wonderfully ! I dried
yesterday's (still damp) load,
in ten minutes, and then did
two regular loads

I don't use any fabric softener
sheets, but I do use two hard
plastic balls, with nubs on them.
They really work in keeping the
static down.

Tell Mom yes, she should write again,
sending it Certified, Return Request
required, so she knows it was received.
Plus, the fees will help support the
Postal Service !

Yee haw on the new dryer, Momala!

My painting company just finished power washing the house. Next, they will make some repairs to damaged wood.

Tomorrow, hopefully, they will be able to paint!smile

Finally. Finally finally finally. Today is the last day of homeschooling. DS has a live meeting in a half hour then he is DONE! All packets for this week except for the one for the upcoming meeting have been submitted. Graduation is tomorrow - virtual ... poo! - and he will officially be on summer vacay once the ceremony is done. He and I both hated homeschooling and are looking forward to school opening for next school year. Can't believe my baby boy will be a first grader!

Oh. DH is enjoying his 'new' wife. I finally worked up the courage to do the oil slick hair I had been ogling for awhile but the stylist said the dye for it will wash out in 6-8 washes so I said screw it and did a blonde balayage. I told the stylist I wanted more blonde than red (my natural color is a dark red) and boy did she. DH now calls me blondie. DH said he's still shocked by the change but he loves it.

I will be so glad when the five year old goes to kindergarten!  Right before nap she pushed one of the toddlers hard.  She fell over and bumped her head.  I asked her why she did and she said it was funny watching her bump her head.  I said, "You think it's funny watching one of the babies get hurt?"  She laughed and said yes.  Told her I was going to tell her dad and she said go right ahead.  I don't care.  I will be thrilled when she is no longer my problem.

She's assaulting other kids for fun.  Dad can come and pick her up right now.

Absolutely, and if the police or other authorities are not informed as well as the parents than it's all on the day care business.

And the parents of the kid that got pushed. And keep in mind that if it is happening more than once and the child is not removed the families will have cause to take action against the daycare.

I knew dad was coming today which was a good thing. Mom does absolutely nothing. I talked to dad and explained the situation. I told him all kids push and take toys and all that. That's natural. I also told him that her mouth was the issue. He was not happy with her and said he'd have a long talk with her about her attitude. Dad is really good about getting onto her. I don't know why she has that attitude because dad does spank. Hopefully she won't be mean tomorrow. Still will be glad when she goes to kindergarten. She's going to hate school and I feel really sorry for her teacher.

There's gotta be a way to evict her from your daycare. Deliberately harming the other kids is sociopathic and very much not ok.
