No looting in my town. There is a large group of peaceful protesters holding signs. Not only black people are there. Our mayor is holding up a sign too. Dress shirt and tie, it’s 90 degrees out.

The looters don’t give a rip about Floyd at all, this is either paid antifa actions, or those who are using that as a excuse to steal. Not one of them are doing that out of outrage about what happened

We have them in DC and the local police got a tip that it was going to happen on I-66 near the boys' old school but I don't know whether it ever happened last night.

I heard there were demonstrations downtown but no looting. Stealing cheesecake? I guess though if I were to loot I'd be stealing something boring like diapers and diaper wipes. I wouldn't even know what to go about stealing.

A bunch of thugs. And they are in my area. I see them stopping traffic on freeways. Beating the cars with clubs and crowbars. And cars just sit there. I don't know why they aren't taking off and running them down. I guess because they are good people who don't want to injure others, but instead become victims. If I were in a car that was being beaten that's assault and battery and I'm in fear of my life and I have every right to defend myself by flooring it. But I know the law and the car is an extension of myself and if they beat on my car they are beating me and I can defend myself.

Ugh. They even started up at my old stomping ground Martinsburg, WV. Cops there don't mess around. Arrests were made and the place cleared out. They were out in full force. Local cops, state police, several counties all showed up last couple nights. No loser looter had a chance.

The violent protesters that were bused to Boston on Sunday were driven to Trudy's city for last night. Her city had a peaceful protest that started in the afternoon with a two minute moment of silence to kick if off, lead by the Chief of police. They had a peaceful march. Then later the bused in people started their destruction.

If you actually knew history, then you would know it is not weird. As for "controlling citizens", when those citizens are burning down, vandalizing and destroying the property of others and beating and killing people then yes they are in need of control.

The National Guard is available for the states but the blue state leaders are not using them, or if they are, they instruct the National Guard to just sit there and do nothing. To let the people "vent". The protesters do their bit, but then antifa shows up and starts destroying. And the NG can do nothing because they were told not to. So if they aren't going to, the military now will. Whether it's the NG or other branches. The NG is a component of both the U.S. Army and the U.S.A.F. They are military.

So what is the differentiation here

Trump threatened governors with military intervention if they do not take his "strongly recommended" advice to deploy National Guard troops to "dominate the streets."

If the governors won't use the NG to stop the violence and destruction, he will make the order as Commander in Chief. He's trying to let the governors do their job. Or actually, force them to do their jobs.

I think I'm just confused about deploying the military (NG) if the NG isn't deployed. Must be something in the wording that isn't making sense. Is it like "If you don't deploy NG yourselves I will do it for you."?
