Happy Friday!

I need to slap some color on my hair.

Cate is coming down to play.

I'm off the hook for dinner. Foraging Friday! Yay!

My back is hurting, so I probably won't get much done.

What are you guys up to?

Enjoy the lasagna, Trudy!

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

Good morning, everyone! Hope the day finds you well and happy!

It's a gorgeous start to the day here. Very low humidity, full sunshine and totally blue sky!

It's been a long week for sure. So much so that I took today off (called in sick). I just could not wear a mask for eight plus hours today. My breathing took a real hit yesterday from doing it so today is a break since I have to do it for eight hours tomorrow. UGH! I just cannot wait for all this to stop but with the rise in cases now with the re-opening of things, I fear this mask-wearing will be more permanent than not. I did finally get to a doctor on Tuesday. He prescribed a high round of prednisone to help clear up the congestion and then 10mg of Singulair once a day. It seems to be helping more with the breathing than clearing up the congestion.

Sorry your back is hurting, FWM. I hope it eases up for you. Enjoy your day with Cate.

Trudy, that lasagna looks amazing. Hope you guys enjoy. I like the website. It has a great variety.

Not much on my agenda for the day. Going to veg and putter this morning and maybe go for a ride this afternoon. Just don't feel like sitting in the house. Time to ride and clear out the cobwebs. LOL

Have a totally awesome day, everyone!

Lasagna....🤤

Hope your back feels better quick, FWM.

I'm up, showered and ready for the day. I would have slept a whole hour more if my doctor's office hadn't called. When I made the appointment, I gave the reason as extreme joint pain, and extreme fatigue, possible dehydration. The one making the appointment asked why dehydration, and I said I had a stomach bug a week ago, and I can not seem to get my strength back. She said ok, made the appointment, and confirmed it an hour later.

This morning, the one making appointments today asked if I was sick, and said if I was, I couldn't come to the office. I told her I wasn't still sick, that I haven't felt sick since Monday. She said the note on the appointment said stomach bug and joint pain.

After clearing it all up, I'm still going to the doctor. But tell me, what is the point of having a doctor, if you can't go to them when you're sick? Crazy.

Oh well, Jesse and I will have a chance to get a real breakfast. If he gets a move on.

Happy Friday.

That site looks amazing !
And you know what? They
have Walter's Hot Dogs!
Located across the street
from Mamaroneck High
School, they do a land
office business five days
a week, and even more
so on the weekend. I've
never had a hot dog that
tasted better than Walter's.

I'll have to check that out. I wonder how well it travels.

Got my hair cut. The ends were starting to look pretty frayed so I got those chopped off. She liked my hair color. I had to sit in the car until they were ready, then get my temp checked at the door which of course was high because I was sitting in the car for 10 minutes, so they had me go in and checked me a minute later and I was cleared. Hairdresser's kids are both doctors, one a resident who treats COVID, but so far everyone has been healthy and fine. It was nice to see everyone again! Well, not everyone, but some. They are only allowed to have 3 customers at a time along with their limited staff.

Beautiful day and I intend to enjoy it!

It was packed like an Omaha Steaks package.  Cardboard box, styrofom box/cooler inside.  Dry ice.  Still frozen.

Fresh hair!

Too bad those food packages can't come with someone to prepare, serve, and clean up.

Back from the doctor. I have an appointment being made to see if I qualify for replacement or therapy or anything.

There's blood in my urine, possibly another kidney stone.

I'm dehydrated, and anemic.

They took blood for labs, looking for infection.

I got a torodal shot, and a prescription of tramadol.

I have to make an appointment with my urologist.

And Jesse treated me to a milkshake on the way home.

TGIF. BFF goes home tomorrow. I will miss him. Also DH is officially moving all his stuff out tomorrow. We separated back in February but he has been on lock down for work due to the Rona. Part of me is ready to face this and part of me is dreading it.

Pack it up and leave it outside. You don't have to see him, and it can be very therapeutic to pack his things away.

Just got through making another
batch of bread & butter pickles -
we sold out! Happy Dance.

Today was the first day at the
watermelon stand - did a lot of
business after 3:00 - lots of
people heading down to the
shore. And tomorrow there
will be a fund-raiser for one
of the pet rescues. One of
the ladies makes the most
awesome cakes, cookies, and
breads. Everything she sells
goes directly to the rescue.
I'm planning on bringing some
extra money tomorrow !

I love watermelon. I have an embarrassing watermelon story. Thanks for all the laughs. He wanted to see his son but was too lazy to go get him so I went and picked him up. I also have to buy him new clothes because DH is too lazy to do that. But it's SS. I love him and I'll do it. DH is communicating with me through the kids right now. I hate it. Sheesh, grow the f up.

Hamburger. I'm telling you, the stench. Won't know what it is or where to find it. Put it in the spines of his books. And in outside pockets of his suitcases. Diced up raw chicken will work, too. It doesn't take much. Tuck some in and around the tongue of his athletic shoes. Hidden.

OMG so gotta freaking vent. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pissed right now. Turns out DH didn't want to pick up SS because he's got his g/f with him. And get this. He doesn't want to not sleep with his g/f so I'M keeping SS while he fvcks around in a hotel room with the ho. And I'm keeping SS tomorrow night too for the same reason. How do I know? DS asked him who would be driving his car home while he drove the Uhaul. He said, "Someone." I said, "So you brought the g/f with you?" Then he said he couldn't talk about it. I told him, Look I'm over this. I've moved on. If you need to bring your g/f with while you pack up fine. I'll even leave while you do. LOL You won't BELIEVE what he had the balls to tell me. He actually said... I have more morals than to bring my g/f around you and flaunt her in your face. OMFG! But you had no morals when it came to having an affair... I can't make this **** up.

Oh, and I wasn't even supposed to keep SS tonight. Had I known he was gonna pull this BS I wouldn't have agreed to it. I have BFF here so yeah, not what I wanted SS around. Plus, I wasn't ready for SS to know things had gone further between BFF and I. Specifically because I didn't want DH to know. He was SUPPOSED to pick up SS tonight. That was the plan. Or the plans he told me. I'm sure he had other plans with the g/f. As per normal he is a liar. And if I throw a fit and insist he take SS with right now then I'll look like the bad guy all the way around and damage my relationship with my SS who would rather be with me than with him anyway. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, so angry. BFF says I should just let it go. That DH is not worried about it at all.

Njn, I’m sorry you are having to put up with this, You are the one who is way ahead in life then him, you have the love and respect of your stepson and at his rate he will lose his son, he will realize his side piece isn’t the good woman you are. Your stepson knows you love and care about him.

NJN, I know this smacks in your face and it hurts but your BFF is right, letting it go is the best thing for you, and even for your DSS. The more emotion you show around your XDH, the more it's a feather in HIS cap! Don't let the bastard see it gets to you. I know it's hard but but showing indifference is a great tool that you have control over.

And, there would be no way I'd leave that house so he can come get his stuff. Nope! I'd sit there with the biggest smile on my face sippin my cuppa and watching every move. I might even help to get it done faster but don't leave. Someone needs to be in the house to keep an eye on the goings on.

Lindley is right in her post above. You are so far ahead of the game. Hold your head high and don't play his games.

I know it’s a little late for this now. When ex dh decided he wanted to be with someone else while overseas I packed all his stuff. He was a bit of a hoarder/ pack rat. I boxed up every magazine, pieces of paper, paperback book, you name it. Every single tiny piece of crap he refused to part with went in those boxes. Then, I put it in a storage unit.
When he returned from Japan I handed him the key to the storage unit. He was trying to be cheap and use his pickup truck to take all his possessions to his next duty station. It was more than a truckload, lol. Lady at the dump told me he made several trips that day unloading all that useless crap I spent years begging him to part with.
I was really glad I didn’t have to sit there and watch him pack. He probably would have left most of the stuff for me to deal with.

I'd pack them up, not even let him back in the house.

And there is no way, no matter how much I loved the child, would I let him pull this. Keeping the child while he screws around with his slut.

I'd be more than happy to host the child on a weekend that isn't his father's.

Thanks all. Still pissed about this. Not leaving today but it's going to be tense. He's going to "take what he wants of his stuff and leave the rest for me to throw away". This should be fun.

I wouldn't do it.

When my ex left, I packed up everything in trash bags, left them on the carport. Told him he had until garbage to get them.

They'll walk on you until you stand up.

So stand up.

Well. I guess you should start packing up his stuff. All of it. Because how do you know what he wants and doesn't? Best to pack up all his crap (all mixed up so he can't just leave a pile bc he doesn't know what's in it). His problem. Not yours. But also, Lindley an dothers are right. Don't leave. If you do he'll take anything within his reach. I once had a roommate move out and I was always pulling stuff out of her boxes and putting them back where they belonged. She tried to take a ton of my stuff.

As revenge I took her vodka, poured it into a different container and filled the bottle back up with water. And then put it in her box.

I left. Sorry, if it appears I was weak but I just didn't want to look at him. He's gotten fat anyway. He didn't take anything that wasn't his and left a crap ton of stuff he didn't want anymore for me to get rid of. The only thing he wanted to take that I wouldn't let him was our dogs ashes. I told him this was her home and she was staying. I asked SS what his g/f's name was and he told me. Pretty sure he's dating a childhood friend that he dated for a short time before. He said she was horrible in bed. LOL I'll laugh if he's dating her. It won't last if it's her. I can't believe he moved from Texas to Mississippi and left his son behind for a woman. Cold day in hell for me. BFF, or BF, stayed an extra day to be with me. We went out for a long drive. I cried a bit in the car. I don't want him back but the finality of it all really hit home. And coming back in my home to see glaring open spaces was hard. I'm glad it's over but really sad that 11 years of my life is down the drain for some ho. Want to hear the irony of it all? When we got together his stuff was still at his ex wife's house. I drove him, in his car, to the Uhaul place and dropped him off so he could go load up all of his stuff and head home. I drove home in his car. LOL Today his new g/f dropped him off at the Uhaul place in his car and he she headed back home. He came to his now ex's place to load up his stuff and drive it back to her house. Wow how history repeats itself.

Am I wrong for hoping karma bits his in his ass?

I don't think there is a weak or strong way to deal with this.  I think you did good.
