Hubby came home from the
watermelon stand - DRENCHED!
Even though he'd been following
the weather forecasts online, he
waited until the storm front was
just miles away (on the radar)
before he went to take in the
watermelon sign on the road.
Big mistake. By the time he
got to the sawhorse, the rain
had exploded, and there was
no way to save the signs.
Fortunately, there is a Dollar
General a couple of blocks away,
and they had poster board to
make new signs, Stencils are
my go-to tool for the time being.
Hot Pink and Neon Green are
the new signs. Let's hope they
bring in more customers.
Momala, do you have a Dollar Tree nearby? Poster board there are 2 for a dollar. Same stuff as every where else. The thicker boards are just a dollar.

It's overcast, but we are not supposed to get rain.
Awaiting the African dust cloud. I hope it's more climatic than the last one.

I pulled the weeds around my good plants in one garden. We had sprayed the area previously with week killer, which worked but looks as though DD missed some. So after pulling the weeds, I arranged more rocks around the flox, trying to slow their spread and to make it look nice. Then did another dousing of weed killer. Mulch soon I hope and will be done with that area since I can't plant anything else this year.
glad I got that done. I need the weed's roots to soak up the killer. It is supposed to rain later and wanted the killer in the roots before water.
Need to go to staples, but first a shower is in order. I finally stopped sweating from the outside work.
Have a great day
