One of the positive judges says he's going to conduct hearings via teleconference, but I can't imagine that continuing if he gets worse.

I'm thinking online court will become a thing. It has to be more productive, and no cost to transfer inmates.

Poor Judges! They closed all the courthouses around here. Talking to my cop clients unless you are really causing trouble no arrests. And the RMV/DMV are all closed. People are panicked. No license, no registration. I tell them don't worry.

All our courts went to teleconference. in criminal cases they are doing a different thing. Judge and recorder in the court room and the lawyers behind their desks far away from the judge, defendant in a hallway or cell on video.

Apparently, this outbreak is among the courthouse staff. Our probate judge was one of the first cases back in March.

I have a friend who works in the courthouse here. She's always complaining that the staff in the courthouse never put masks on to be in the common areas or anywhere really when at work even though the judges have issued mandates that masks be worn, especially in the common areas.

Our courts just opened up but I see them shutting down. Same with the DMV. DS bought a car back when this all started and still doesn't have tags and stuff. No one is writing tickets for it though.
