Morning! The OR is closed today. But, of course I’m on call. So not feeling it. Really hope it’s uneventful but our docs love to do surgery when we get a weekday off.
It is going to be another hot one. I’m just going to putter around the house. The yard really needs attention but it would take me about 5 minutes to get all sweaty out there. Have a great day!
Because our Governor has closed
all the beaches, I expect that we
will see a great decrease in traffic
going past our watermelon stand.
We'll see what happens. This was
supposed to be our money-maker
weekend. Oh well.
Going to color my hair today. My cousin is face down in her hospital bed still in a coma. They are replacing her fluids and measuring her pee to see if they save her. Apparently she was on an OTC pill for excessive white blood cells and washing it down with wine. Don't know how long that was going on.
Interesting. Well, I was always told as a child to sleep face down when I had a cold to prevent it settling in the chest and developing into pneumonia.
Morning. Mulch is coming in a bit. I will have to spread it. 4 yards, but at least one garden will be done. The storms we had last night blew over the tomato plants. To upright them I need another pair of hands so it will have to wait until at least one kid gets home.
Crappy and gray here but cool so a good day to spread the mulch.

Yes, the beaches have closed down. I have one family that took off today to go to Galveston beach and then they got the word that it was closing. They're staying home with the kids now. I only have one today and he's napping right now. His dad said he was going to run some errands and pick him up early. So should be a nice day for me. I have PT later. I've been doing the exercises he gave me and my back isn't so sore. DD went to get her eyebrows waxed yesterday and the salon said they're closing down on the 5th. Hoping they open back up before my vacay. I'll need a mani and pedi before I go away.

Our beaches are open but the governor keeps suggesting that people stay home. Right, lol, they won’t. I’m sure the sandbar on the river will be packed at low tide. It’s already 86 degrees.
Went to Ford, and got the oil changed and tires rotated. Even with an appointment, I was told it would be about 3 hours.
Pooh! I called Mere, and she picked me up.
Wayne went for a bike ride. Got a shower, and off the Costco we went.
Wayne and Conor are cooking dinner tonight! Frutti di Mar, over linguine!
(Not that I will touch it...but the rest of the family will enjoy it. I'll just have some linguine, with asparagus and artichokes, in butter, olive oil and garlic.)
That works, for me.
Wow! The turtle looks great, IKWTDS! So cute!
Sigh. So much for a slow day. I've been running since 6am.
Now, I need to do a quick clean up on the powder room, and run the sweeper. And set the table.
On the bright side, I don't have to cook today. Yay!
I hope everyone is having a good day! (Dang, it feels like a Saturday, to me. Long weekends always throw me off.)
I colored my hair. It always feel good to have fresh color. Watered an area of the backyard. Moved the sprinkler to front yard and now the sprinkler is broken. Ugh. I have another which I'm using, but still. I like to leave them in place so I don't have to move them. So I bought a couple more. They are those tall ones that will hit a large area.
It feels like Saturday to me, too! Spent some time in the pool. The sun is really hot today.
So happy you like my turtle! I am trying to keep the weeds at bay and with all the rock I have I just figured put it to use. My butterfly bush and flox are about to bloom. That is a huge garden area and I can't plant anything else until next year because of the type of weed killer I put down. I am so satisfied right now.
I have more mulch to spread in other areas but way too sore right now.

DH just called from the watermelon
stand - I'm out of pickles !
A lady bought a jar, along with a
watermelon. Ten minutes later she
returned, with an empty jar! Seems
like her teenagers at the who jar at
one sitting! She bought the five jars
that were sitting out on the shelf,
and DH found 3 more jars, which
she bought. Nine - 9! - jars of my
pickles. I'm glad she's a local,
cause she'll spread the word that
we have wonderful pickles.
