CCW permit application bounced. Need to go in person. That's not what the website says, nor the clerk when I called and asked. Ugh. OH well. I'll go in this week. If it hasn't been burned down by then.
True. I really wasn't interested in the CCW, except I took the class and my instructor is encouraging me to get it since the laws will be changing in January. Once I get it, I will buy a little one that I can carry. Can't really lug Gladys around. Well, I could, but it's not convenient. LOL
Supposedly, our office A/C was tested and it's a single pass system so no spreading of covid. Not that I'm going back any time soon.
Our A/C at home has one of those ultra violet things that sterilizes the air as it passes through before it hits the ducts.
I'll have to check out the deringers. There aren't a lot to choose from these days in the stores, but hopefully I can find one on-line and have it shipped to the store.
We had a sprinkle in the night. It's humid, but not as hot today. Only going to have a high of 89.
I hope we get more rain. Fingers crossed.
I need to make a run to Home Depot. Spock tore up the weather stripping on the patio door. And I need to get more poison for the fruit flies. Grrrrr...I hate those little buggers.
Have you tried the chocolate covered Oreos, Trudy? They look good, but I haven't tried them yet.
I think Jupiter has a stomach bug. She doesn't seem to be feeling very chipper. Plus, she has the trots. I think I'll make her some chicken and rice. See if that helps.
Prayers for DD!! She’s in the ER with a dog bite. Next door neighbor’s dog bit her bad. She actually called 911. I’m steps away but can’t go to her because of everything being locked down. Have to follow the rules, even as an employee.

A/C is a dehumidifier so it causes any air borne virus to quickly fall.
Masks will cause a warm wet environment around your nose and a mouth, around help the virus stay alive and thriving. Masks are like incubators. Especially if worn improperly.
We are at 92% humidity, only 89 degrees, though. No rain expected.

I don't wear mine properly. And I breathe out my nose with it because I wear it very loosely, quite frequently removing one side and holding it away from my face to get more air.
Thanks for the prayers!! DD is out of the ER. Needed some stitches on the right leg and the left leg has some superficial bites and is already bruising. Really pissed at neighbors.

I'd be mad, too.
What kind of dog was it, SB? And why was it loose? Is the dog being put in quarantine?
Have the neighbors given you
records of the dog's vaccinations?
If they don't have them, or didn't
get the dog his regular shots, the
dog will need to be quarantined
(2 weeks, I think?). Has the dog
bitten any other people? Make
sure you file a police report,
even if you want to keep in good
relations with neighbors. Their
insurance should take care of
any costs from the ER.
Hope she feels better quickly.
Ice packs make out of frozen
veggies work well, without
being too cold. Peas or corn
work best.
DD was mowing the grass in our yard and they let the dog out and it attacked her. She didn’t even see it coming. These are renters next door. As usual, the renters in this house suck. These are the same ones the swat team had to encounter within two weeks of moving in.
DD said the police and animal control were at the house when she left in the ambulance. Right leg had a gash a few inches wide and deep. Muscle was hanging out. Left leg has a bunch of small bites and bruising. It’s some kind of mixed breed. Maybe 50 pounds.
Funny thing is the pit bull down the street visits us from time to time and just showers us with kisses.
I had a nipper. I hated that dog. Hated it. The ex wasn't ready to act. Until he was selling something and the buyer came to pick it up with their small child. Dog nipped at child. I kicked dog away so it missed, and tied dog up until they left. He still didn't want to have it put down. I was ready to use his shotgun on it.
I came home sick one day. Couldn't make it to the house, and got to trash can by the side to throw up. Dog was going after me, I was throwing up in can and fending the dog off me with my purse. Called ex at work and told him it was either lethal injection or a bullet, his choice. Ex came home and took dog to be put down.

Oh my gosh, SB. I'm sad that this happened to your daughter.
Hopefully, the dog is in quarantine, now.
Leash laws are pretty much universal. That dog should never have been allowed to run loose.
They need to pay, for the damage he did to your daughter. For sure! And if he has a history of being aggressive, he needs to be put down.
Mixed breeds, are usually friendly. I wonder if the owners abused that dog.
Pit bulls, and other Bully breeds, used to be called, "Nanny Dogs". They are sweet natured, wonderful with children. Until someone abuses them, and makes them fight.
I sure hope your daughter is feeling better. Give her my best wishes.

Not much else is going on around here.
I hope everyone has a good day.
Weather stripping will do that.
