And, it's nice to be home again, after a great trip!
I woke up early yesterday, and knew I wouldn't fall back asleep. So, I got up, and got going.
I left West Des Moines at 3:45am. and rolled into my driveway at 2:20pm. About 740 miles in just over 10 1/2 hours. Not bad at all. Weather was good and traffic was light.
Now I'm trying to get back in the swing of things.
I have a hair cut at one.
I need to look over the mail.
Maybe do some laundry.
Make a run to Kroger.
And, of course...watch The Tennis!
It's going up to 90 here. Darn, I was enjoying the cooler weather in Ohio.
Glad you're home safe and sound and had a great time! Sorry about the heat. I'll be envious of you come February.
I ran to the store. Supplies looked pretty well stocked. No canned pumpkin though and they were only selling carving pumpkins. Hopefully after Halloween they'll have the pie pumpkins available.
Whoa back up. 740 miles in 10.5 hours averages to 70.5 miles an hour. Taking out bathroom breaks and driving on less highway speed streets occasionally tells me you were a speed demon.
Somewhat slow day, putting out the occasional fire.

LOL! I know it sounds that way. But, I only had 3 short stops. One for gas and potty. One for late breakfast and potty. And I took my egg sandwich to go...ate in the car. Last stop for gas and potty.
When the speed limit was 70, I set the cruise for 73. When the speed limit went to 75, I set the cruise for 78. So, I really didn't reach speed demon levels. I just kept my stops very short.
Weather was good. Traffic was light. so, I lucked out!

We took all the kids to the pumpkin patch today. Let them go through the hay maze, ride the train, get a hayride, throw bean bags, play ball, pick out a pumpkin, and generally run and have fun. It got a little hot but they loved it and are all worn out. Got permission from all the parents to post our pics on FB. Now out to celebrate SIL's bday. I have to pick up dinner. My choice. Gotta get gas too. And of course I'll be holding the baby.
