Good afternoon, cold and rainy here, need to pull out the Christmas gifts I bought and write them down on a pad. Made a trip to target to pick up before they are out.
busy day and yes cold and dreary. But it's nearly done. DD came home sick from school today and luckily DS was home so picked her up. i was at an appointment when I got the call.

Good evening, everyone! A very dreary and chilly day here. Although, the sun poked through for about 3.5 minutes today. lol
We had some bad news at work. Our store manager and one assistant manager tested positive for covid. I'm frustrated because the asst. mgr.'s GF tested positive and he continued to be with her and come to work! Why wasn't he quarentining and staying home when he knew she was positive. Three days later, two other people left work not feeling well and with fevers. They came to work with fevers! WHY? UGH! The store manager apparently knew and came to work for an hour on Friday before leaving. His son was getting married Saturday but it was cancelled because others, including the bride to be tested positive. What is wrong with people that they know and still go out? Now, we're all in a panic even though the company sent in professional cleaners over the weekend to disinfect supposedly everything. Yesterday, a new'ish (maybe three weeks into emp.) was in the front end manager's office doing some computer courses for the registers and he mentioned he was feeling very suicidal. Authorities were contacted and he left with them.
I was happy to be out of there today. Self-scans were wonky today and a few customers got super angry and were throwing their groceries in the bags. Like really throwing them. I approached them all and asked if temper tantrums were actually working to make it less stressful for them. lol They quieted down after a bit. I was in no mood to take **** from any of them. Didn't care if I got fired. Thankfully, I'm off tomorrow.
Tomorrow's the day I plant more than 250 Spring bulbs. I have a couple of great neighbors who're going to lend a hand. We're expecting a good soaking rain Thursday so I won't have to water them. I'm just praying the chippies and squirrels don't get them.
Tonight, I'm vegging and going to watch The Voice and the premiere of This Is Us. Hope y'all have a great night!

I smell a lawsuit. Local pizza place had a huge exposure a few weeks ago. Appartenly 2 people who test positive prior to the night of exposure were told to quarantine. They didn't and went out with a bunch of buddies not wearing masks. The owner did not tell them to put one on. 12 related cases resulted. AG is looking to see if they can press charges against the 2 offenders under the law established when HIV was prevelant.

FS ~ glad you have tomorrow off. Is your store doing entry temperature checks? Hope Thursday is better for you.
Momala, they were doing them in the height of all this but haven't done so in probably three months. They put the thermometer back in the break room for employees to use on their own if they want! I just hope these four or five people are ok and didn't infect the whole store. They supposedly sprayed the store to disinfect but that doesn't help those of us who were exposed to these people who came to work that way.
People amaze me when they do stupid crap like this.
