Good morning!   Beautiful day here, my daughter and family will be here tomorrow and will be staying a month, SIL, works from home and daughter cut her hours to below part time to homeschool her childre, so they can do that here.  Pretty excited.  Hope you all are having a good Saturday.

That sounds wonderful! Enjoy!

I'm doing a little furniture moving and decorating. Making space for the Christmas trees which DH will put up when he gets back from golfing. I won't decorate them yet, but I want the trees and lights up. I'm also changing out blankets and throws for the cooler season. Cozying the place up a bit even thought it's supposed to reach 70 today.

My blow up new Christmas outdoor decor was delivered plus a few gifts. I only did errands and some cleaning today. Not much else.

DD worked with her Jr ROTC to clean a cemetery and place flags on the Vet graves. I then had to get her to work. She loves JR ROTC, I am so thankful that it started up again.

Hope everyone had an enjoyable day

I'm pooped.

Just got through making 200 servings
of coleslaw for tomorrow's fund raiser.
Thank goodness for my food processor -
it did all the heavy work.

Made my own dressing - no mayo - just
in case there are people with egg allergies.

Now all I have to do is clean up all the
little bits and pieces are cabbage that
go spilled on the floor!

Your coleslaw sounds yummy! Made two pans of lasagna, one regular for my 6 yr old grand daughter since it is her favorite and one mushroom lasagna. All I have to do is pop them in the oven tomorrow. Will make spaghetti noodles for the rest of the picky little eaters.

FNW~

Tangy Coleslaw Dressing
1 Tbsp butter 2Tbsp flour 2Tbsp
sugar 1/4t freshly ground black
pepper 2Tbsp Dijon mustard
1 1/2C low sodium chicken broth
1/3-1/2C white wine vinegar

In medium saucepan, melt butter;
stir in flour. Cook, whisking, for 2
minutes. Add sugar, pepper, &
mustard. Gradually add broth.
Cook on low heat, whisking, until
mixture thickens and boils. Stir
in vinegar. Cover and refrigerate
1 hour. Add to shredded cabbage.
I used a mixture of 5 green and 1
red cabbage, 4 large carrots, finely
shredded.

It held up very well in the refrigerator
overnight - didn't get runny at all.

After expenses, we made over $400 -
not bad for our small little town.
