Hiya!! Been out shopping most the day. Stopped for lunch. Weird thing happened earlier We went to the factory stores and I wanted to go in Talbots, it wasn’t open yet so we went to bath and body. Then we walked in Talbots and there was one lady walking around and an alarm was going off in the back. We kept saying “hello” and no one ever came out. DD went and got security and the guy came and checked everything out and no worker was there. We waited a bit and no one came. It was so weird. I was looking around to see if someone was on the floor.
That is weird, SB. I wonder if there was a robbery.
We're doing some yardwork today. I asked the gardeners instead of removing the leaves from the yard to blow them all to the back area for mulch. Instead, they blew them to the front in a big pile next to the neighbor's mailbox. So I laid down cardboard I had been saving from delivery boxes in the north 40 on top of weeds and DH is moving the leaves from the front to the back on top of the cardboard. Hopefully that will help choke out the weeds and improve the soil. By the looks of the yard, I think the gardeners will be coming back to do more blowing. I just hope they don't blow them all back to the front. DH would not be happy about that. But he was going to contact them about the error and never did so.....this is what happens when he procrastinates.
We're taking the boys to Maggiano's for dinner tonight because they got really good report cards.
Found out the girl who lived behind us who had a son about our boys' age then met and married a guy from Israel, had twins, then moved to Virginia Beach is getting a divorce. I'm very sad for her. Her parents still live behind us so I wonder if she will return. I hope for me, she does. I hope for her, she doesn't. She really needs some independence from her parents, IMO. But with twins, she really needs help.

I was going through a collection of
recipes from my dear MIL, and came
across her handwritten recipe for
Peach/Pineapple 9x13 cake. I tried it,
and it was FABULOUS! We've been
eating off it for 4 days.
Layer: 1 large can crushed pineapple,
then 1 layer drained sliced peaches,
each slice cut in 4ths, then sprinkle with
1 box white cake mix, then another layer
of drained peaches, in a decorative pattern.
Sprinkle with 1C raisins &1C brown sugar.
Pour over top 1C margarine, melted. Bake
at 350 for 35-40 min til brown. Next time
I make it, I will use three smaller pans.
