We're getting the hang of giving Jack his shots and testing his sugar.
Thankfully, he's a very laid back, chill, kind of a cat. He doesn't fight us. He just goes with the flow. I guess if one of them had to get sick, we're lucky it was him. It would be so much harder, with one of the girls.
Cate is coming down to play. She had such a good time baking banana bread the other day, that I got the stuff for us to bake chocolate cookies today.
I think she'll really enjoy it!
Paul is off, so it's foraging Friday. I'm off the hook for dinner! Yay!
I just got back from my walk. It's 25 degrees out and windy. It felt good to me to breathe fresh air. We're expecting snow Monday.
I'm getting ready to put a loaf of sourdough bread in the oven and do another load of laundry. It's change the sheets day, too. I stocked up on milk so we should be good for the upcoming storm. I also bought marshmallows to put in the boys' hot chocolate. I usually make that when they come in from playing in the snow and I have a fire going to warm them up. I've done that since they were little so they expect it. LOL
Happy Friyay!!!
I’m going to bake some banana bread too!!
I’m also making some spicy ranch pretzels. It’s easy you just take a bag of pretzels and coat with oil, then seasoning and bake at a low temp for an hour. Have to look up the recipe for the exact details.
It was very chilly this morning. Hurry up spring!
Tacos for dinner!
I may invest in a bread machine in the near future, use to have one a long time ago. Hello everyone, our heater is still down, they have to order a part and it won’t come in till next week sometime. 🥶 Lying under a blanket, may get me a cup of hot tea.
I had a loaf of wheat bread I made awhile ago and made croutons with what was left today so it wouldn't go to waste. The boys loved them and insisted I make a salad so they could have an excuse to eat more. I also made homemade pasta with my new KitchenAid pasta attachment.
A new restaurant opened
in the next town, and they
make the most AWESOME
bread! A little bit pricey, but
oh their food is scrumptious!
Garden omelet, sausage patty,
2 strips of bacon, hash browns,
and toasted bread; DH had
biscuits and sausage gravy,
eggs, sausage patty, and
pancakes. Total bill was 22+,
but that's not bad for the
amount of food we got. It's
called Sunny Side-Up Cafe -
tells you exactly what they're
serving.
