Glad you are back Trudy, drink lots of orange juice, drink hot tea with lemon and ginger, hot chicken soup and drink NyQuil and go to bed.
Hello fwm and fnw, Watched my kiddos at their house and Church this evening, nephew is sending their space heater with my son tomorrow so that will help with the heat. They are going to put in a new furnace next week hopefully early week.
Hi, Lindley ~
Situations like yours make
me glad I have three (3)
sources of heat. Electric
heat, thru the floor ducts.
If electricity goes out, I still
have my propane gas stove.
In addition to that, we have
a wood burning fireplace, with
a "heatalator" add-on. It is
made of hollow pipes, shaped
like a "C", with the top of the C
about 5-6" longer than the base
of the C. You insert it in the
fireplace, and build a fire on the
base. Natural convection brings
cool, floor level air up into the
bottom of the C, and it is super
heated, and blows out the top
of the C. The one we had in
Staten Island, in our square Cape
Cod house, raised the temps: 15
degrees in the living room, 12
degrees in the dining room, 10
degrees in the back den, and 20
degrees in the three upstairs
bedrooms. Best investment we made!

Sounds like you’re all set for winter, it’s supposed to be in the teens Sunday 🥶🥶🥶🥶 my nephew told me his heating unit warms up the house real goo, so that would help big time.
I have one of those dyson hot - cool fans. My bedroom is at the end of the ductwork. It’s pretty cold in the winter. It was well worth the money. I feel a lot safer with it than my old space heater.
