Drab dreary day here. It’s gray and drizzly. The high temp was 53. For my hair done earlier. I’ve done nothing else, lol. Now I’m feeling guilty. I may tidy up a bit after I sit down and pay bills. It would be a good day for some chili.

Good afternoon SB, snowy here, cleaned out some drawers and shelves in our bedroom and trying to stay warm.

It was sunny here and most of the snow melted. Now we are supposed to get several inches early tomorrow until noon. We'll see.

#2 had a sore throat but seems better tonight. DH& I went for a walk and discussed summer vacation. He wants to wait and see how Spring Break trip goes before deciding whether to fly somewhere. We will fly to Florida in Spring.

Lindley, when is your heater going to get fixed?

Sometime early this week, they are going to put in a new furnace, thanks to my nephew, I have two space heaters and that helps a lot, and the past two days wasn’t to cold.  This week it’s expecting some snow so I hop at least by Tuesday.

My husband didn’t have to much trouble flying into Florida this week so hopefully you guys won’t have any problems. Have you flown since the pandemic started? we flew out to see my daughter and family in August and it wasn’t to bad.

No, we haven't flown since the pandemic hit. We had several trips scheduled, but cancelled them all. We have over $6k in credits we need to use by the end of the year. We agreed with the airline to take the credit rather than a refund to help out. They also threw in several hundred dollars to make it worth our while. I'm ready to get out there again, but we will stick to domestic trips for now.

I have heard that it's pretty safe and easy to fly now. One friend said her flight from LAX to IAD was packed and no one wore masks but that was awhile ago. She swore she would not return to Cali but she has and has returned a couple times so it must have gotten better. (She has a farm in So. VA and homes in Cali).

I hope your furnace comes soon!

I do too! When we flew as everywhere else we had to wear mask, but you can take it off to eat, southwest only offered water but the airlines were struggling back then so I will ask my husband if that’s changed.

I've been doing a MASSIVE purge of the house.  I've been cleaning like crazy.  Trying to get rid of stuff I already don't use for the move eventually into a new house.  I figure if I'm not using it NOW it's safe to say it will get thrown away, given, sold when we move.  I cleaned out my pantry and gave a bunch of closed cereal and canned goods to a needy family.  Getting rid of all the pics of me and ex.  Totally cleaned out all the old books and dvds.  Got rid of two bookcases.  Need to purge the toys.  Working on my bedroom right now.  Got the living room semi tackled.  Kitchen is the worst.  Ugh.  And right now the spare bedroom is holding everything that needs a place.  But we're definitely making progress.
