Happy Friday!

I need to drop Jack off at the Vet to have a glucose curve test. He'll be there all day.

Cate is coming down to play.

We got 3 inches of rain in the night. We needed it.

Not much else happening here.

How about you?

I hope everyone has a good day!smile

Just sitting here. Seems my new computer has speakers. It was blasting away an ad. Umm, can't fool around with that noise!

My friend told me that her grandson, the one who went with us to the beach house one year when he was 16, is now 34. Where does the time go?

I know! I've been using Curology for almost a year now and can really see an improvement. No more age spots!

Sitting here waiting on the dishwasher repairman. Got called into work early tonight. They wanted me to come in four hours early but I said two is my limit. I'm too old to be working such long hours. But I'll have four hours of OT on my check with going in early today and tomorrow.

Just got back from getting my
first vaccine shot - Moderna.
And they already scheduled me
for the follow-up shot in one
month. They were very well
organized, and the shot itself
wasn't too bad. However, they
did caution that my arm would
be very sore for the next few
days.

I'm glad you got your first shot, Momala! From what I hear, the first shot is easy. It's the second shot, that will cause a bit of pain.

I just got the call from Lowe's!

My new dishwasher will be installed on Monday.

I'm so ready! Yeehaw!wink

Picking up Jack at the Vet, soon. Hoping for good news on his Glucose curve test.

Fingers crossed.

Evening, Peeps!

Well, I had a rather funny day at work. A customer and her younger (early teens) granddaughter were loaded up with two carts of stuff. Not alot since there were seven cases of bottled water and about ten eight-packs of sodas. There were a few smaller items like flour, etc. but not much. So, they're hanging on the side of the selfscans that are not easily viewed by us or on the cameras. Now, there were two open selfscans on the opposite side of the two not easily visible. I was on the side of the "bad" ones and suggested the ladies use the other ones rather than wait for the two "bad" ones to become available. Other customers were there and still had half carts to scan. The older of the two made a face at me and just stood there. OK, now I'm suspicious. I again suggested that #3 and 4 were open and to please go use those. Again, the older made a face and turned her back to me and just stood there. Now I know they're looking to scam us. So, I motioned to the younger one to move it. They finally did. I finished helping the customer on #1 and moved over to the center of the scans to keep an eye on them.

The older woman himmed and hawed and finally attempted to scan. I picked up my handheld scanner and volunteered to scan the large items so she wouldn't have to lift them. She begrudgingly said I could do the waters. Now I notice some of the eight-packs are actually under the cases of bottled water. So, I stand about five feet away from them after scanning the water and just watch, all while watching other customers because my other co-worker disappeared on me for almost an hour. No one knows where she went. Anyway, the older just kept stalling around but eventually got through it. I went to help another customer on the opposite side of her machine (the machines are back to back). On my way back, I over heard her complaining to the granddaughter that I just stood there watching them. She kept it up so I finally said that "I'm just doing my job". She kept it up so I repeated myself and continued to stand about five or six feet from them. As she was walking away, I heard her telling the granddaughter that I apparently didn't do my job well as she didn't scan two of the sodas, which I knew but we're not permitted to approach them and given her attitude, I chose not to.

So, we have a book at the courtesy desk that we write suspicious activity in with the date, time, which scanner, a description of the culprit, etc. I was at the desk going to write in the book and thankfully the store manager and asst. mgr. were there as well as the asst. front end manager. I had explained to them what happened when all of a sudden this woman comes barrelling up behind me screaming that I said she would be arrested and that I hovered over her watching her every move. The store manager and asst mgr explained to her that I was correctly doing my job then. She went off her left nut waving her receipt around and really carried on like a nut. I walked away with the asst mgr as I was really afraid the woman was going to assault me. Thankfully the manager(s) all insisted I was right in doing my job.

After she left, all the mgrs came to me asking what happened so I explained again also telling them that she said she didn't scan all items. I also said she turned down the volume on the scan beeper which is why I stood there as well as their suspicous behavior. Both mgrs watch the cameras later and again told me I was exactly performing my duties given what they saw on the cameras.

I know it's approaching a full moon but daaaammmmnnn this week cannot be over soon enough.

On a bright note, the GF downstairs left the house at 5:30 p.m. (it's now 8 p.m.) and the bathroom exhaust fan has not been turned on. YAY!

Wow FS, what a weird woman and certainly not a very good role model for her granddaughter, I detest thieves. Happy that the managers had your back.

Saw a suspicious post on Facebook today, a relative posted what looked like a farewell to the world, she done that before and didn’t take it seriously and actually tried and I felt bad that didn’t act, but at that time was dealing with someone who would say anything for attention and my relative was kind of like that person, so tonight she made another similar post so I contacted her sister-in-law and found out they had blocked her, but they will check it out. They live in another state and I have no idea what address, so I hope they will had least either call her or send police for a well check.

She is fine, I may end up just hiding her posts, she did actually tried one time, but this time was just seeking attention.
